 The farm is immersed in 500 hectares of wood among the wonderful hills of Tuscany in the upper Val di Cecina ("Alta Val di Cecina"). Relais Guado al Sole is set in a hill area sprinkled with a typical Mediterranean vegetation. |
Cooking Classes: At Relais Guado del Sole we wish to teach our guests how to cook typical dishes and recreate the rich flavours of Tuscany when they return home again. Ceramics Classes: We organise also ceramics classes for relaxation and to learn the local handicraft of this area. |

In the area you can admire and photograph many species of animals, that roam free in their natural environment: deer, wild boar, pheasants, partridges, hares, stags, and squirrels.
Hunting Nature Reserve: In this wealthy fauna it is possible to hunt, alone or with friends, in a wide area, as generations of owners of the house have done.
Volterra: The town, both stern and serene at the same time, is set on a hill with views that stretch from the Apennines to the Tyrrhenian. Volterra as a particular charm that distinguishes it from other towns. You will be impressed by the walls, partly Medieval and partly Etruscan. The city gates are wonderful and the most important is Porta dell'Arco Etrusco. Inside the walls visitors will find memories of the proud medieval Volterra that help embellish the magic charm of the city. |
San Gimignano: The 15 medieval towers - a reminder of the 72 towers that adorned San Gimignano during the period of its greatest splendor - can be seen for kilometres around. The wonder continues on entering the town gates, that open in the double enclosed wall, and walking up the silent streets flanked with ancient buildings.The streets lead into three squares at the apex of the town, a great vantage point from which to admire the severe medieval buildings that surround them may be admired.
Venzano: Even if it is not well-known, Venzano is a charming and glamorous place. It is a picturesque monastic complex of the Augustinian age (13th century), that has been recently restored. It brings us back a sense of peace, increased with the closeness of nature: gardens and terraces. |
