Could not have been better. This was a very nice stay for us and all our friends.
Everything was better than exspected exept the wether, and this could the Villa La Grotta for sure not do anything with.

If you want to see Toscany, this is the place you see it all at one time. Villa La Grotta pluss the area around have it all.

The house was very nice and the apartments clean and spacious. Apartment 'Michelangelo' however was VERY NOISY because of noise from the apartment above and also through a connecting door leading to the next apartment. The people next door might as well have been in the apartment with us as we could hear every word and movement This caused us much distress and the staff arranged for us to move to another apartment after two nights, which was better.

Lovely house, beautifully converted with friendly staff and good facilities, BUT expect to be disturbed by people in other apartments because of the design / acoustics of the building.

The Villa needed Air conditioning or at least fans as the rooms were unbearable at night and during day without the windows being open - if the windows were open the flies etc would enter and be a nuisance.

The lack of air conditioning, we were informed the walls were thick enough and therefore the rooms would be cool.

there was some construction going on--but it was clear how beautiful the villa is and is getting.

only one, our room Cimabue was gorgeous except the ceiling slanted very much in the center where the sky light is. my finace is 6 feet 3 in and bumped his head badly. i'm not sure how you would indicate this, but the room wasn't totally ideal for faller folks. maybe they all have slants? that didn't affect our stay at all. we loved everything about the villa.
