The mill at Giugnano is located below Roccastrada, in the Province of Grosseto in the Tuscan Maremma. It stands among gentle hills and cork oak woods. This historic building dates back to the year 1000 AD. It was part of the Benedictine monastery of San Salvatore di Giugnano, whose ruins lie a short distance away. |

From Livorno, take the Grosseto-Rome road and leave at the Gavorrano Scalo km 214 exit. Follow the directions for Ribolla-Roccastrada from the beginning of the Il Terzo provincial highway for about three km. From Rome, take the Braccagni exit for Ribolla-Montemassi, turning off after about eleven km for Roccastrada. From the Florence-Siena highway for Grosseto, take the Civitella Marittima exit for Roccastrada and Ribolla, on the Il Terzo provincial highway, about eighteen km from the exit.
