The Farm Molino di Giugnano is situated in the country at the foot of Roccastrada, surrounded by the wildness of Maremma, amidst woods of cork oaks. |
The structure is an historical building dating back to year 1000 and originally part of the Benedictine monastery of San Salvatore di Giugnano, as testified by the ruins of the old abbey that are just about 600 metres to the north. |
The estate is crossed by Bai, a torrent that supplied electric energy to the old water mill, of which you can still admirethe grinding system, the original doors and windows, and the stone arch.
Finely refurbished by the current owners, Molino di Giugnano, has typical cotto interiors, open beams and stone façades. The residence is located in a historical building. |
Rooms are equipped with the most modern comforts and are elegantly furnished with old furniture pieces.
The farm covers 20 hectares enclosed by fences. Thus, guests can relax in the park or walk in the wood populated with pheasants, boars and deer. A medieval festival is held at Roccatederighi from August 1st to 15th.
