need better explanation of how the optional dinner at the castello is organized. it is among the best meals of my life that i had there and that should be available to all that stay there.

We were not able to reach the facility with the help of a GPS, but a phone-call to the facility solved the problem.
The check-in modalities were perfect. Very friendly staff. We've got a thorough explanation in perfect English at arrival.The staff showed us the appartment and the facilities.

The location of the facility was exceptional; romantic view on San Gimignano from the top of the highest hill in the region.
There is a large and clean swimming pool with a depth of 2,6 metres, surrounded by modern seats and parasols in perfect condition.
The concierge was always in the neigbourhood to help.

The name of the supermarket noted on the directions is wrong. It is called PAM, not Superal. This confused us a bit.

Beautiful, charming, relaxing. A piece of heaven. It is wonderful for a family and our children loved the pool. The location was great as a central spot to work from and being close the San Gimignano was a real bonus.

the directions stated between ceraldo and san giminago.......... it needs to state exactly where to turn off from the highway....ie,.... from Florence: follow signs south to Siena, get off at the San Giminiano exit - go past the Supwermarket- look for sign to Uligimani and turn left, then turn rt at the Castelliano sign, follow the road to Castella Fuliganio......
Francisca, Maria and Francisco were EXCELLENT HOSTS...... we very much enjoyed our stay, and have told other people that we have meet during our travels through the rest of Italy about the web site and the accomodations.......

The receptionist drove to meet us as we were late arriving and she thought we might have difficulty finding it in the dark - we really appreciated this.

The swimming pool was absolutely wonderful and the quality of the accomodation was great. The only slight misunderstanding was that the impression I had from the website is that there was also a restaurant there; I may have misread this.

The property was amazing. An absolutely beautiful place although you could not see that from your information. it does not show the full beauty of the accomodation. All the staff were friendly and extremely helpful. it was a joy to stay there.

Maybe you should have some good views of the rooms. Also the pictures on the web must be early ones where the flowers are not in bloom so more recent ones would be better. The only downfall is the road to the property but it was worth it.

We were made to feel very welcome from the beginning, the owner even presented us with a bottle of wine on our arrival which we thought was a lovely thought.

We were so pleased with our stay. The website did not do it justice in terms of view and the actual size of the apartment. From the website, it looked like work had been done on the appearance of the property, lots of plants etc since the website pictures were taken.

A thoroughly enjoyable stay. We loved it!The view from the property was just fantastic, neither our photos or the website did it justice, and the apartment was lovely. Would definitely recommend this property, we could not fault it.

Everything at the castle was great.Patriza was wonderful, very helpful and knows English very well. I plan to bring back more of my family next year and enjoy the Castello again.thanks for a great time

The only thing about the directions that was unclear was that once you are close to the residence, you must stay on a dirt road for quite some time before arriving. The dirt road was charming, but upon our first arrival it was a bit disconcerting because we were not aware of it and thought we had gone the wrong way.

Castello di Fulignano was wonderful. The rooms were gorgeous, the staff was very polite and accommodating, and the location could not have been better for the area between Siena and Florence. San Gimignano can be reached by car in less than ten minutes, and the road into town is beautiful and rustic, with many vineyards and olive groves between.

The staff at the Castello are wonderful. The apartment and view far exceeded my expectations.

I believe that a floor plan of the layout would be very useful because I had no idea how large and spacious the apartment would be.
I would also note the age (very new) and the fact that the kitchen is fully outfitted with new modern pots, a dishwasher, personalized plates and tons of glasses.
The bathrooms were also fantastic and the modern outfittings should be highlighted on the website - double sink, massage setting shower head etc.

Excellent!!! I highly recommend this Castello to all those planning a trip to Italy in the near future.

We had stayed at Castello di Fulignano last year and really enjoyed the experience. This year we felt that the standards had dropped in one or two areas.
Pool cleaning, heating for example.

The heating is not put on until late october or early november we were told, so that the apartment was not exactly cosy at the time that we stayed there (and that is coming from an Irish couple!)and towels were not exactly dry.
Also swimming hats required for the pool.
Positive comments would be that there are fabulous views from the apartment, and that the area is really beautiful.

A really relaxed location where you feel that you are on your own, you don't have loads of staff bearing down on you at all times, you are left to do your own thing and the facilities are as good as one could expect for a self-catering appartment.

We arrived very early ahead of the check in time so we were pleasantly surprised when they had our apartment ready.

We enjoyed our stay and the apartment was very beautiful. I was disappointed that there was no designated area per apartment to sit at eg for eating al fresco, sitting in the evening. I also did not know that you had to purchase and wear a swimhat for the swimming pool. On a holiday I do not expect this, and therefore did not use the pool at all. I found it a bit formal that the owners were always around and found it intrusive rather than comforting.

It should clearly state that there is no washing machine with the apartemnts, and that you have to go to the launderette which is 20 minutes drive away.
It should clearly state that you must wear a swimming hat in the pool and have to sign a document to confirm the swimming pool rules.
It should state that apartments do not come with a designated seating area on the grounds or balcony/terrace.
The distance down the lane should be stated - 10 minutes either side down a dirt track gets tiring after a while.
It should state that their restaurant only opens once a week for evening meal.

Beautiful views, beautiful setting, beautiful apartment BUT very very formal, and if not going out in the evening you are rather confined to the apartment.

We were greeted by welcoming staff and were given a free bottle of red wine which greatly appreciated. The information given on arrival was also very helpful.

Our stay was wonderful and for me, the highlight of my honeymoon. The only criticism I wuold have have about the castello, was that it advertised satellite tv. The TV was certainly satellite ready, but out of the 50 or so channels, only one was in english and it was a news channel. Consequently there wasn't a lot to watch at night.

I would recommend it to any one that wanted to visit Tuscany. I can't speak highly enough of it. The views and the tasteful restoration were just magnificent. There was a touch of magic about the place.

It would have been helpful to note in the directions that the property is located on a dirt road. I almost turned around because the road turned into a dirt road.
Also, the property is not as close to San Gimingnanio as stated...that is it is 4 km via a dirt road.

Guests should be prepared to provide some extras, like towels and toilet paper, if they sign up for the rooms with no cleaning service (pension).
