first impressions were very good. The Hotel looked and is immaculate.

The only thing I could fault the Hotel on was they only ran the air conditioning at certain points throughout the day, but not at night, which left the room very warm at night. (July)

There is a litle fruit shop literally accross the road, which supplied both fresh fruit, water, soft drinks and alcohol, from the fridge and all at very cheap prices. The staff here were very pleasant.

Genuinely a family run hotel. The staff work hard and the reception staff can speak English.

Owing to delays by Alitalia and the unavailablility of a taxi at Pisa airport, we did not arrive until after midnight. The hotel was locked up but I had phoned to let them know of our difficulty and a girl turned up as we pressed the door bell to help us in and a man was there to give us our keys. The service was quick but efficient and we weren't made to feel bad about being late at all.

The air conditioning was turned off at night which we found problematic as we faced the road and the open window allowed all the noise into the room. We expected it to be on all the time. Our room was spacious but our parents room was a bit tight. They were quite happy with it though.

The bill was available the night before so there was time to look over it. The meal charges were quite high but other than that everything was as expected. My mother was given the small gift of a candle when she paid the bill, with which she was delighted.

I read a report on the internet about the hotel not being clean. It is, it is spotless. All the staff were friendly and helpful - incredibly so in fact, and helped us arrange to hire a car, get timetables, taxis etc. We all found the road to be rather noisy at night and in the early morning and we never found the roof terrace. Breakfast was a bit of a disappointment in that it was identical every day and the choice was limited. It was perfectly adequate though.

This is a clean, friendly and welcoming hotel and well worth going to. The food is well presented and well cooked and the wine excellent. The staff alone - all of them - are first rate and could not have been nicer or more efficient. The hotel provided all that we required for our holiday and we would be happy to return there.

clean, modern accommodation with air con, wich is very important as the weather does get very hot in the summer in that part of Italy. Breakfast was rather basic though.

We booked a room for 4 adults.
The room may be ok for 2 adults an 2 children up to 14 years but it is too small and expensive for 4 adults. You shouldn't offer it for 4 adults. There is no posibility to dry wet clothings or towels. There is no place in the bathroom where you can put reusable towels.
The evening meal is too hectic. Less bread for breakfeast.
The street is very loud so we had to close the window at night and it became too warm.
All in all it was very nice to stay at Hotel Fortunella.

If you want to eat more than breakfeast at the hotel you should book it. In the other way it's too expensive for what you get.

The breakfast was a little bit 'to italian' some cheese and sausage or ham will be fine. Also no baps where available only white bread. But the rest was good.

The hotel was nice and matched the picture on the website. However, it was clearly a family hotel with many, many very young children. Since we are an older adult couple, it would have been nice to know that ahead of time. We would have probably booked a room at another hotel.
