Malva guestroom: A Tuscan terracotta arch forms a bed head; the pale blue walls blend with the colour of the sky visible from the window overlooking the garden. In the language of flowers the meaning given to mallow (malva) is that of peace fullness. It is used mainly to sooth mouth and stomach inflammation, for coughs and catarrh. The infusion added to water has emollient and moisturising properties. The lotion has beneficial effects on acne rosacea and reddened skin. |
Melissa guestroom: Going back in time; you are in a late 19th century room, sleeping in a four-poster bed, sunlight filtering through its diaphanous drapes, the moon and stars will accompany your dreams. The en-suite bathroom also has an inviting bath tub. Lemon balm (Melissa) is a plant emanating a pleasing lemony odour. It is used in infusion to stimulate the appetite, to fight nervous tension and to help digestion. It's also used for its detergent properties in bath water and facial cleansing. |
Erica guestroom: A room with an intimate, relaxing ambience. The terracotta joisted ceiling blending well with the subtle yellow walls. The window opens directly on the garden, promising unforgettable awakenings, drenched with perfume and odour as the birds bid you good morning. In flower language heather (erica) is the plant of hope and desires. Added to bathwater heather has purifying qualities and used in decoctions and infusions it helps improve muscular tone. |
Valeriana guestroom: This room is spacious and bright; it can accommodate 3 people, having both a double bed and a comfortable art-nouveau style sofa. In spring time you can delight in the riot of iris blooms as seen from the window. Valerian (valeriana) is a perennial herbaceous. Its medicinal use dates for back in time, the name being derived from the Latin "to be well". It has a sedative effect and is also used for migraine and depression. An infusion of valerian drunk at bedtime aids sleep. |
Lavanda Room lively like the perfume of lavender, recording its freshness and perfume. The walls are while but a delicate frieze in a blue colour with the curtains and the ornamentions of the double bed. The spacious room also has a single bed and a chest-of-drawers with a mirror. In the private bathroom, with walls in stone, there is a hydro-massage bath for you moments of relaxation. |
Camomilla Room is a relaxing room with a romantic canopy bed and a single bed divan plus a built in wardrobe. The window facing the hamlet, plus the cream colour walls and curtains makes you breathe in the atmosphere of another time. (The large bathroom with bath - shower is shared with the Verbena room).
Verbena Room Waiting for you is a double bed and a single bed divan, a warm atmosphere created by the parquet pavement, a mezzanine bookcase in wood, high ceilings with a sky light, an eighteenth century fireplace (unfortunately not usable) and a curious window over the corridor. If you are looking for something different the Verbena room is ideal! (a large bathroom with a bath - shower is shared with the Camomilla room). |
