Fonte de' Medici consists of 2 buildings, Podere Tignanello and Podere Vivaio. All the apartments have also an independent entrance, comfortable bathrooms, fully-equipped modern kitchens; some have a veranda with barbecue and fireplaces |
 Podere Tignanello
The first portion opened is the Podere Tignanello, a completely renovated and restored hamlet, all in stone, which consists of 7 apartments, dominating the vineyard of the same name, with a breathless view. Each apartment is named after a Tuscan grape variety, recalling the fact to be in the hart of one of the most famous wine-producing areas in the world. Every apartment is equipped with satellite TV, hair-dryer, safe box and internet special plugs.
Apt. Canaiolo: (80 square meters, 2 guests). On the ground floor, this apartment stands out for its fun kitchen with a view and splendid white and green bathroom, where the bath tub is enclosed in a niche. The yellow walls and the welcoming fireplace make this a perfect place for a romantic stay for two.
Apt. Malvasia: (90 square mt., 2+1 guests). On the ground floor, this apartment has a large living room with fireplace. Though created for two people, there is an eventual day bed for a third person. The arched bathroom, made from an old pantry, adds a touch of originality. The predominate color is red, and wide windows open out onto the garden. |
 Apt. Sangiovese: (100 square mt., 4 guests). The most breath-taking view of Tignanello is from the master bedroom of this apartment: it reminds one of the background scene of Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa. A corner fireplace creates a romantic sunset on winter evenings. Ideated for 4 people, it boasts further character thanks to its large kitchen-dining and living room, opening out onto the terrace, allowing warmth thanks to its ancient fireplace.
Apt. Colorino: (108 square mt., 4 guests). This apartment for 4 people is on the ground floor, and in ancient times was part of the chapel of the farm. The original altar and arched ceilings in the living room create an impressive atmosphere. From the kitchen-dining room one steps onto the fresh terrace with barbecue. The master bedroom is large and well-illuminated, while the bedroom behind the living room has bunk beds.
Apt. Trebbiano: (108 square mt., 4+1 guests). What can be more beautiful than an attic apartment for 5 people in an ancient Tuscan farm? This two-story apartment has 3 bedrooms, and a very relaxed informal atmosphere. The wide windows illuminate the kitchen-dining room area and The double-level living is a pleasant use of space. |
 Apt. Prugnolo: (114 square mt., 5 guests). This apartment opens onto the northern garden, and is characterized by its large living room and spacious kitchen-dining room. The yellow and green tones are cheerful , an invitation to practice one's culinary skills. In the night-side warm colors and materials and on the paviment long and warm wooden stave.
Apt. Mammolo: (142 square mt., 6 guests). This large apartment gives onto the courtyard, and is ideal for 6 people. It is created on two levels and the kitchen opens out onto a terrace with barbecue. There is a lovely view of the Pesa valley from the dining room, which is connected to the living room, creating a lovely sensation of space. Cheerful fabrics with flowers, small niches in the walls and studied architectural details make this apartment unforgettable.
Podere Vivaio
The Vivaio center (Podere di Vivaio), a completely renovated and restored residential country Villa, dominating the lake of Buca del Granchio with a great view on it, consists of 3 apartments , which are named for the local olive trees that abound. Every apartment is completely equipped to permit a comfortable weekly stay.
Apt. Leccino: (80 square mt., 2+1 guests). On the ground floor, with a wide living room overlooking the shaded garden, this apartment is very confortable and is ideal to enjoy the atmosphere of the Tuscan Countryside. The bedroom has a beautiful view on Buca del Granchio Lake.
Apt. Moraiolo: (100 square mt., 3+1 guests). On the First floor, with an incredible view on the lake , this apartment is characterized by his wide and ancient fireplace. Also the shaded garden side (covered by a veranda) is overlooking the lake.
Apt. Carotina: (63 mq., 2+2 guests). At the top floor of this beautiful country house there's Coratina. The big kitchen and the fireplace characterizes this 4 people apartment. You access to the apartment by walking through a little bridge over the garden.
Borgo S. Maria a Macerata
The heart of Fonte' de Medici is in this small historical village characteristic of the Chianti countryside, with its houses made of stone, brightly colored plaster walls, and little central square and chapel. Here you will find the reception, restaurant and swimming pool that complement the apartments, everything surrounded by nature and facing the vineyards of Tignanello and further away the Valley of the Pesa. Four apartments and four double rooms are found within the same structure that houses the reception while two more are located apart.
Apt. Aglianico: (55 square mt., 2+1 guests). A large living room, kitchen and dining room in cheerful lavender tones bring a great breath of fresh air into the Aglianico. The spacious bathroom, embellished with delicious bow windows, is fully equipped for disabled guests. This apartment has a separate entrance and a small private garden to ensure tranquility and privacy.
Apt. Nebbiolo: (91 square mt., 6 guests). The privacy of this beautiful old-fashioned barn while still being close to the swimming pool renders this apartment ideal for a rural vacation. The wide gallery opens onto the garden and offers the possibility of extending the kitchen/dining room towards the outdoors. Wide windows in the living room, structured around a fireplace, give the sensation of being immersed in nature at all times. The bathroom in the master bedroom, in addition to a bathtub, has a large shower covered with travertine mosaics. The peculiarity of this house is in the "barn" structure which has allowed the construction of a small bedroom in the higher section with a magnificent view out onto the countryside.
Apt. Cabernet Sauvignon: (61 square mt., 4 guests). The exposed wooden beams, warm colors on the walls and furnishings, and magnificent view enjoyed from its windows make this two bedroom apartment with its comfortable living room both pleasurable and charming. |
 Apt. Merlot: (47 square mt., 2+1 guests). Entering this apartment one has the sensation of going back in time: the fabrics, furnishings and everything encirching the living room and its wooden fireplace depict the particularities of the Tuscan countryside. A few steps bring you to the kitchen, while the bedroom is painted in a plant motif and the bathroom contains a wash basin carved from antique marble.
Double Room Vermentino: (34 square mt., 2 guests). A roomy canopy bed with organza fabric and lively colors turns this small apartment unique. A wide arch divides the night area from the small living room, while the cooking area is ingenuously hidden behind a cabinet.
Double Room Sauvignon Blanc: (25 square mt., 2 guests). Green is the color which distinguishes Sauvignon Blanc: it is employed on its walls with a particular technique which harmonizes the entrance to the glass closet, the bedroom, and the lively bathroom. The whole room is brightened with its elegant windows.
Double Room Chardonnay: (22 square mt., 2 guests). The space of this apartment is perfectly organized. A touch of personality is given to Chardonnay by the bathroom that has been decorated with antique floral tiles and by funny hand painted furniture.
Single Room Treminer:
Why not ask for the best, even if you are alone? This lovely single bedroom, a jewel of S.Maria a Macerata is filled with flowers and sunshine that blend perfectly with the beautiful view of the vineyards. The bathroom is spacious and very attractive. It can be used as a "dependance" of the other apartments keeping the privacy of the guests. |
