This venue was recommended by a wedding planner and was an excellent choice

I travelled alone to Florence for a weekend wedding in the same area as La Fonte del Machiavelli. I wanted to spend a day in Florence but had no transport and do not speak Italian. The owner(?) Simone explained how to use the local buses, personally took me to the village bus-stop, got me to the wedding venue on Sunday afternoon and again took me to the bus-stop the following day for my return to the UK. What a service

Perfect for a holiday - the venue is clean, quiet and the views are wonderful. Just the place to relax and use as a base for touring

the website should include detailed directions coming from various places; we took a day trip and got lost on our way back because we were coming from Pisa, but the directions we had were from Florence

a beautiful setting with everything you need in a bed and breakfast - clean, comfortable rooms, a beautiful view, friendly and helpful service; breakfast was very good, plenty of variety and more (quantity) than can be expected for an italian breakfast; convenient location in the heart of Tuscany.

Quite isolated in the middle of the wineguards and near Firenze : perfect for improvised urban evenings or sunsets on the city... !

La Fonte del Machiavelli is quiet place on a hill surrounded by groves and grape-vines. Perhaps Machiavelli had written here his 'The Prince'.

Simone, our host, was wonderful! The property was lovely; I would definitely recommend it or stay there again. It was a bit tricky to find, but once we got our bearings, it was a good central location from which to explore greater Tuscany. Great bed and breakfast!

Lovely, rustic and quiet, overlooking the vineyards and nature preserve in Chianti. There were delicious local trattoria that we discovered, only minutes away, and wonderful local wine. We liked the rural setting immensely.

A wonderful break away from the hustle and bustle of the major cities. Secluded, romantic and relaxing. Well within easy reach of Florence, Sienna and surrounding villages. Very clean accommodation, friendly staff, freshly prepared breakfast and amazing views of the Chianti region. A car is however highly recommended to make the most of your trip around this area. We would definitely stay again and would recommend La Fonte del Michiavelli to anyone who wants a few days of R&R in a beautiful part of Italy.

After a phone call, someone showed up very quickly to greet us.

Accomodations were perfect for that dream vacation in Tuscany. Wonderful patio available to relax and enjoy the surronding hills covered in vinyards and olive trees. Very convenient for visiting the Chianti wineries and Florence. Staff was very accomodating and friendly. Breakfast was excellent and included ham, eggs and bacon. Excellent value for the money. Can't say enough about the view. Rooms were beautiful.

breakfast was poor : bad quality deep frozen bread and pastries, but this shouldn't be a problem anymore as they have changed their supplier on the last day of our stay. there was quite few variation over 5 days: always the same omelette, bacon and ham.

the stay was quite pleasant, it's a great place to relax. the location is central in tuscany and allows to reach most of the regional points of interest in less than 90 minutes.

I arrived very late so Reception was closed. I had friends also staying there so they had my key so I was able to get into my room.

All facilities were excellent - a great place to stay.
Although breakfast was good, I would've liked to have more variety in the food available e.g. some fruit, cereal etc.

A great place to stay for a nice, relaxing break. Quiet, lovely scenery and handy for local sightseeing.
