By Car:
San Casciano can be easily reached from the A1 Milan-Florence-Rome motorway, taking the Firenze Certosa exit, and the Florence-Siena highway, San Casciano exit. When you reach the first houses, turn right in the direction of Empoli. Continue on until the end of the road and turn right. Turn right again after the school onto Via Fratelli Rosselli (look for a large globe near the road). Continue to the end of the road and turn right onto Via Gentilino. Go past a series of newly built houses and onto a dirt road. Take the first right, where you will see a sign "Fatt. Gentilino, Fonte al Sole", and continue on to the villa.
By Train:
The nearest train station is Florence, then you have to take the bus Sita, dierction San Casciano Val di Pesa. There you need a car or a taxi ride till the Villa, which is 20 min. by foot from the station without luggages. By car it takes 5 minutes. |
