I WAS REALLY IMPRESSED WITH RESERVA DI FIZZANO. AS SOON AS WE ARRIVED THEY ACCOMODATED US RIGHT AWAY AND SHOWED US TO OUR ROOM.THE STAFF WAS VERY POLITE AND FRIENDLY.

The location is very remote. The restaurant food was outstanding, however the service was less than fair. The property does not offer enough information about the local area and things to do. You are very much on your own to explore.

Somehow unique. Very good value for money.Good food.Excellent wines.Tranquility. Beautiful landscape. Friendly and courteous staff (all).
As a matter of fats we recommend the place already to friends and our son. As far as we are concerned we will definetely come again next year.

Had a fantastic time would have no hesitation in recomending the property.The only problem we had was the resteraunt did not open until 7.30 when all my children should have been asleep. there were many times that they were out of control.

Would have liked air conditioning
T.v. we asked for was not in the room and It would have liked to have sky news or cnn to know what was going on in the world. No english papers ect. The 3 children at times would have liked to watch some tv.

Two ladies greeted us, enquiring where we had been, did we find the place ok? Very helpful, spoke excellent english (very helpful to us, as we spoke little italian) Offered us a tour of their own vine yard next day. Beautiful countryside and very peaceful. All in all a terrific stay. Not too far off beaten track to keep touring around the area.

We did encounter a snake in the car park which didn't expect, but considering we were out in country and it was spring i suppose it didn't matter too much.

Very rustic and beautiful countryside, a lovely respite from the cities we had just been to. Next time I would take my husband/boyfriend!!!

We had a wonderful time at Fizzano. We stayed for 3 nights, I would recommed a full week to relax and enjoy the surroundings.

We were late arriving and there were clear directions left for us, which was great. Together with a bottle of water and wine in the fridge...much appreciated.

Absolutely, the ONLY thing lacking here is air conditioning. My first visit was in October and the weather was great. The June visit was very hot and ruined an otherwise perfect stay. I will go again in April or October.

The staff here gets to know you immediately and you are treated like family. Everyone is upbeat and cheerful. The location is perfect for day driving short trips to nearby points of interest, and the staff will take any time needed to make sure you have all the instructions you need. Most of the staff have been there for years and you can tell they love this place and are very proud of it.

We arrived at 8.30pm so the reception was closed but an envelope with the keys to our apartment were posted on the door, I went to the restaurant and one of the staff from there helped to show us to the apartment.

The restaurant was excellent. Only one negative comment, we arived Friday evening and Saturday morning my husband wanted a morning swim, but the pool was being cleaned and available after 11am, this should be done during the week and later in the evening not when the place was busy at the weekend. Otherwise the setting the place was everything I had hoped for, well done.

I wished I had realised there were other additional services, such as a satellite tv and dvd in the common lounge, a professional masseuse, books to read, but as I only visited at check out and once to sign did not realise that other facilities are available.

Like having having your own private villa, the staff and clients are respectful in the sense everyone is thre to relax and enjoy the views, food and wine, I will dfinitely go back there again.

This is an amazing property - absolutely beautiful and centrally located. We had the trip of a lifetime! The staff were wonderful, helpful, and caring. We would definitely return to the Riserva di Fizzano.

The arrival was warm and welcoming. additionaly the receptionist made sure we were properly settled into our rooms before walking us around the area to ensure we knew were everthing was. To top it off, after our tour of the grounds, they introduced us to the serving staff at the bar and started us off with a beverage on the house.

I would not hesitate to stay there again and will recommend the riserva di Fizzano to anyone travelling in this area.

Cooking classes are generally reserved for large groups and not couples or individuals.
The directions to the location ned to be more specific in regards to what highway you are exiting from (A1 or the secondary highway or a sidestreet from Poggobonsi)

Directions were confusing - it would be helpful to provide distances on the map, and the Reserva di Fizzano sign was knocked to the ground and not visible.

Very comfortable beds and nice bathroom facilities.
The rooms are quite dark - more lighting would be appreciated!
The breakfast was lovely. However, we were allowed only one coffee at breakfast - caffeine addicts like us would have appreciated extra cups free of charge!

The staff very kindly allowed us a late check out and was very courteous!

We recommend Reserva di Fizzano to everyone! The apartments were very clean, and the staff attentive. The breakfast was very good, and the grounds were lovely!

It would be very helpful if the maps of how to get there were emailed to guests before hand instead of upon arrival.

The apartment is self catering yet the fridge was very small, no oven, no toaster. We had to shop almost daily for our family of five.

Although the Fizzano was very beautiful, we found the price expensive. We came from Rome where we rented a whole villa for 850 euro. a week.

Very nice people. The only problem was that when we arrived the restaurant was closed, we were very hungry but we were too tired to go out in town after a day of traveling. We wished they had something to eat even cold dishes. Also another note is that they did not changed the towels for the all 6 days of our stay and I think it is a little too much.It was stated on the voucher but They could charge a little more but give this service that is essential.
Also when we were having breakfast the cleaning ladies were sitting next to our table and this is not something you normally do. It is not for snobbery but as they have a lot of americans as client and they are very attent to this kind of things this should not happen.

#1 Should say that the restaurant for the Riserva is home to the Olive Garden Culinary Institute.
#2 Should mention that the staff here are a first-class team- really gave me an entirely better view of Italy and it's culture and hospitality.

We were greeted very warmly and friendly. We were shown to our apartment which, being so far from the car park we were given additional help about where to park our car.

We would have liked to get an English speaking channel on our TV, or be able to go into the lounge of the office at night to watch their TV.

The staff were very cooperative in helping us to get a refund for one night, because we were had to leave unexpectedly, a day early.

it would have helped to get, beforehand, the detailed map that we were given after we arrived, of how to get there from Poggibonzi.

a wonderful place to stay in beautiful surroundings, but a little bit out of the way, especially if coming home late at night.
Just don't expect to get a kettle or microwave in the apartment (things that English guests are used to having in self-catering apartments.

The appartment chosen and stated in the voucher was another one. But it did not matter, ours was OK.

Quiet, clean, original. Friendly and discret atmosphere. Nice and smooth surrounding. Spacious rooms. You quickly forget the fact that TV quality is very poor...
I would recommend an appartment with private garden or situated on the first floor.

The receiption even opened 30 min earlier for us and we could check out earlier than expected.

During the week we stayed it was very quiet and we could enjoy our appartment with garden very much. On the last evening however a bus arrived and the peaceful athmosphere was disturbed.
