A listing of local restaurants would be helpful. ... Beautiful, quiet and comfortable.

Offered a glass of their wine. Father in law was charming. ... Screaming kids from 7a.m. to 11p.m. Querce 1 was above staff accomodation. They had a todler who cried most of the day.. Querce 1 is in rather a dark corner of the property. Cooler in high summer but no views. Got bitten badly by mosquitoes but couldn't see or hear them! ... There was nobody around. I wanted to buy some wine but couldn;t. Eventually we found a member of the cleaning staff and told them we were off. ... The owners were charming but we hardly saw them. We were out all day so maybe we just missed them. Lots of tacky childrens toys all over the grass areas. Some lovely views and the place looked well kept. ... Lovely place but be careful about which accomodation you get and what time of year you visit. Begining of September you have babies and toddlers making a lot of noise at all hours.

A more detailed Map would be useful ... We were charges an additional of 65 Euros for heating which seemed to be a lot for one week. ... There is a beautiful feature of peacocks on site. However, this proved to be a nuisance every morning from 6 am the males would make quite a bit of noise disturbing one's sleep and this is not so good when you are on holiday. ... Wonderful

When we arrived we had to hunt around the property for someone to welcome us. Everywhere looked very quiet. The lady who came to the door (not Deborah) was very nice but did not speak a word of English. However, she then got soemone to show us to our apartment. ... Our stay at Le Filigare was excellent. It was a magnificent property - our apartment was spacious, clean and well kept. The grounds were lovely. And the wine tasting was superb. The only problem we had was to do with the cost whcih they charged twice. However, when we got there and eventually found deborah, she was very helpful and paid us back there and then. All in all highly recommended. If the other properties on the website are as good as this we shall definitely be returning to Tuscany! ... A haven away from the world to relax in. Beautiful spacious apartments, with good facilities (swimming and tennis, bike riding, wine tasting) and tremendous veiws over Tusancy. Location for site seeing excellent. Get your car prepared for the long steep and dusty driveway though!

Extra costs for heat should have been estimated. As it was, we froze for the first night and day until we decided we could not spend a week without any heat. (Temperatures were quite chilly.)Also, explanation should have been provided before arrival as to need to purchase toilet paper, paper towels, bath soap, etc. ... We had a good time. It is conviently located for sightseeing in the area. San Donato has good restaurants (La Toppa, for instance), and Tavernelle is close by with good restaurants & shopping. ... The rules stated that we were to check out between 4:00 and 5:00 p.m. the day before departure. We rushed to return by 5 p.m. only to be told that we could do it the following morning. We had thus deprived ourselves of late afternoon and evening sightseeing on our last day. We think that if rules are stated, they should be followed. ... A critical issue is that of supplies that require purchasing beforehand. Those are toilet paper, paper towels, napkins, bath soap, etc. Most of those are standard in other places & a warning ahead of time would be most helpful especially in light of the fact that La Filigare is not exactly in town. ... It is a beautiful location, about 2 miles from the nearest small town of San Donato in Poggio. Pool is not open until May. Heat costs are modestly extra if one is careful to turn it off during the day when not in the apartment, and also in the evening just before retiring. Debra has done an excellent job in providing beautiful furnishings. Bedrooms and living room are very well appointed. The fixtures in baths and kitchen are first class.
