Villa Fiesso, a sixteenth century stone house which has been lovingly restored from an old stable and hay barn by it’s English speaking owners, is only 28 Km from Florence providing calm and tranquillity and a perfect base for discovering the cultural treasures of Tuscany.
 
Villa Fiesso is situated deep in the heart of Chianti country surrounded by olive groves and vineyards with a stunning view across the valley and bordering the National Forest of Vallombrosa. A few minutes walk away you will find the delightful medieval stone village of Pagiano with it’s old bridge dating from the time Hannibal and from where keen walkers can enjoy a stroll through the forest.
 
This charming villa for four people has maintained all the traditional terracotta floors and beamed ceilings with all modern comforts. Through out the house is furnished with comfortable country style furniture. Leading down from the main entrance there is a covered terrace ideal for outdoor eating or relaxing with a drink at sunset.
 
In front of the Loggia there is a large open-air terrace with beautiful lemon trees, and ideal for sunbathing, enjoying the view or preparing a barbecue. Guests have their own private drive and plenty of parking space. Guests will find that they are very well situated to join the motorways, which will take them to all the major places of Interest.
 
Florence, capital of the Renaissance and city of fascinating Museums, it’s just 30 minutes drive by car or within walking distance a bus service will take you to the centre. The walled town of Siena and the famous towers of San Gimignano are only 1 hours drive. Lucca and Pisa are only 120 Kms away and they will provide a delightful day trip.
 
Arezzo and the beautiful Casentino Valley are within easy reach. The first weekend of every month in Arezzo there is the largest open-air antique market in Italy well worth a visit. In the house you will find a large selection of maps, books and information about Tuscany.
