 Podere Felceto is a spacious, traditional, stone Tuscan farmhouse originally built as a monastery in the XV century and located 2.5 Km from Panzano in Chianti. There is no record of precisely when Felceto passed from ecclesiastic jurisdiction to that of the "Signoria di Panzano" but we know for sure that Felceto was a place of refreshment and hospitality for pilgrims and travellers for a long period, until it become formerly a farmhouse and the Podere Felceto of today. |
 The Villa even today has some of the characteristics typical of the monastery but also those of the "locanda", a place of rest and refreshment, but more than anything Podere Felceto kept retained the sensation of peace that can be found in all spiritual places. This feeling is perceived by everyone who goes to Podere Felceto and gives himself the time to listen intently. |
 Set on prime Chianti land, overlooking woods and meadows, Podere Felceto boasts 57 acres of land with extensive woods and meadows to explore, a beautiful organic oil and wine plantation and a frontage along the River Pesa. This is a quiet location, providing an idyllic setting from which to enjoy the Chianti countryside. |
 On summer evenings dining beneath the vine-covered pergola is pure joy. In daytime, privacy is provided by trees and hills surrounding the pool. The comfortable country decor is matched by the pleasure of screens on both the kitchen and bedroom windows. Maid service and even certain meals are available. |
 Typical of Chianti, the road to this serene Tuscan retreat is unpaved and narrow. In fact, the Chiantigiana road that, from the time of the Roman Empire, has been a very important route of north-south communication in the Italian peninsula, passes within a hundred yards of Felceto and even today the stone Roman road can be seen in the nearby woodland. Panzano in Chianti, with a number of exceptional restaurants, is ten minutes away. Greve in Chianti and Castellina in Chianti are reached in less than 30 minutes and within an hour by car both Florence and Siena and are at your disposal. |
