 Fattoria Voltrona is located in the heart of the Tuscan countryside, where you can relax and spend a really pleasant stay. In the area, there are many good restaurants and small and lovely villages, where you can spend some pleasant moments. If you need chemists and banks, you can reach San Gimignano or Poggibonsi and there is all you can need. |
By Car:
From the north, take the Firenze-Certosa exit from the A1 highway and then get on the Autopalio route toward Siena. Take the Poggibonsi North exit and follow the signs to San Gimignano.
From the south, take the Val di Chiana-Betolle exit from the A1 highway and follow the signs to Siena, then get on the Autopalio route toward Florence and exit at Poggibonsi North. From here, follow to San Gimignano (do not take Colle Val d'Elsa turn off, as this will lengthen the trip). From the southern and from the northern of San Gimignano, follow the signs to Volterra (by the roundabout) and go about 4 km to the San Donato Farm on the left (you will find a sign "Voltrona 1,6 km"). Turn to the left here and follow the sign to the Voltrona Farm-Agriturismo, it's about 1,5 km from San Donato on a graveled road, we are the last farm on that road.
By Plane:
Coming from Pisa airport: leave the exit from the car park at the airport following the sign for Firenze and drive along this dual carriageway until you reach the junction with the motorway Autostrada del Sole A1 (E35). Join the Autostrada in the direction Roma and leave it shortly afterwards at the exit Firenze-Certosa. From here follow the direction above.
Coming from Florence airport (Peretola): turn right on leaving the airport and follow the green motorway signs up the road. Enter the motorway at Firenze Nord following the direction Roma. Drive past the exit Firenze Scandicci and leave the motorway at the second exit, Firenze-Certosa. From here follow the direction above (* arriving from the north).
Coming from Rome: take the Autostrada del Sole A1 From Roma as far as Firenze, then turn back towards Siena from exit Valdichiana as above (*arriving from the south).
By Train:
The nearest railway station is Poggibonsi. From there, you can rent a car or you can reach the farm with a short taxi ride. |
