 The estate lies in the heart of the Tuscan countryside in the municipalities of Vinci and Cerreto Guidi. It is situated within the area known as the 'Terre del Rinascimento' - the Renaissance lands. The history of the estate does in fact date back to the Renaissance period, as shown by documents from the period contained in the historic archives of Cerreto Guidi, which can also be consulted on our estate. |
 The land currently occupied by the estate was covered in ancient times by dense, impenetrable forest which earned it the name of 'Chiuso di Rozzalupi', loosely translatable as 'wild wolf territory'. Documents indicate that the property was acquired in the Renaissance period by the Adimari, a well-known and wealthy Florentine family, who extended the property, built the villa and used it as a base for hunting. |
 The character of the estate has remained much the same since then, as can be seen in the fine, well-preserved hunting hut in the woods of the estate and a small building used as a shelter for call-birds, after which the wood itself - Uccelliera - has been named. The Fattoria Rozzalupi is still a working farm estate, producing organic wine, oil, honey, fruit and cereal crops. Products can be purchased directly from the estate. |
