Directions from Rome-Milan: Take the A1 highway to exit Firenze Scandicci. Take the motorway FI-PI-LI in direction of Pisa up to Pontedera exit.
Directions from Florence: Take the motorway FI-PI-LI freeway Pisa direction and exit Pontedera.
Directions from Pisa: Take the motorway FI-PI-LI Florence direction up to the second Pontedera exit.( not the first one Posacco-Pontedera)
From Pontedera:
follow the sign to Peccioli (via delle Colline). It is the last exit of the traffic circle you will find leaving the FI-PI-LI for Pontedera. You will pass some little villages; Val di Cava, Treggiaia and then you will find a traffic circle. Follow the sign to Peccioli (you have to cover half circle). After about 2 km you will find another traffic circle, follow the sign to Forcoli (cover 3/4 of the circle). You will find a bridge and then a crossroads. Turn right in direction of Castelfalfi. Follow the road up to Ghizzano crossing on your right. It is the second one on your right. ( The first one is to Peccioli. ) Enter the village of Ghizzano following the street after the little church you will find on your right ( you do not have to turn right at the church) .
From Ghizzano:
follow the street inside the village and after the only one bar Campani, you will find Monti Street. Follow it and after 3 1/2 km from the bar, when the asphalt stops and Via di Monti turns into a dirt road (before Castelfalfi), you will find a road on your left going downhill. Take it (it is a sharp turn on the left). Descend to the valley, re-ascend the hill ( 2 km) and you will find a crossroad up the hill; turn left in the tree lined road in direction of via di Monti 71-89. At the end of the road you will be at the villa. |
