By Plane
The airport you will find closer to the apartments is Peretola, in the outskirts of Florence. This terminal welcomes international services as well as domestic ones, so it will not be difficult to reach from whatever is your point of origin. At the airport you can easily reach the railway station in central Florence, and then a connection to Castelfiorentino.
By Car
From Peretola airport, you will have to drive around 71 kms (approx. 1 hour 10 minutes). Join highway A11/E76 and then A1/E35. Get off at the exit for Firenze/Scandicci/S.G.C. FI-PI-LI and then go along Strada Grande Comunicazione Firenze-Pisa-Livorno towards Pisa/ Livorno. Take the exit for Empoli Ovest and veer left in road SP10. After passing the town of Osteria Blanca, join road SS249 and you will come to Castelfiorentino. Afterwards, drive along Via Nicoló Macchiavelli and at the roundabout, take the first exit into SP4. Turn right in SP26, left in SP75 and once again in SP4. Veer right in Via Volterrana Sud and you will reach Gambassi Terme. From the town, follow the indications for Varna. You will see the signs for Fattoria Primavera on the street and the reception comes into view.
By Train
The managers of Fattoria Primavera recommend guests to arrive to the property by car, as it is placed in the countryside. However, you may reach Florence by train (from Rome it is 1 hour 40 minutes from Peretola airport, there is a railway service that takes less than half an hour to reach Santa Maria Nouvella Station). Once in Santa Maria Nouvella, there are connections to Castelfiorentino, the station placed closer to the inn, at a distance of around 15 km, that take between 45 minutes and 1 hour (some make a stop at Empoli). At Castelfiorentino you may rent a car or take a taxi to Gambassi. |
