Wonderful island
...
Unfortunately the staff were overloaded with other checking out customers and therefore the expected time of vacating the room could of been delayed till possibley 11.00am. We have found on many occasions that the checking out process can be totally elinated by charging the Debit Card and forwarding the bill.

The quality of the food was variable, some
good, some poor. The decoration of the
hotel was tired in some places, particularly
the dining room and the corridors. The
rooms were good and had clearly been
refurbished more recently. However the
siting of the hotel giving it spectacular
views and the beach facilities and bar out-
weighed the less positive aspects. Overall
it was good value for money and we would
return.

access details. You need to get a bus from the harbour or a taxi. If you get the bus, it is quite hard to find the hotel on your way. There should be more details on the location on the Island itself.

It might be nice to know that in order to eat dinner at the hotel gentlemen will need a collared shirt.

Driving directions from the port could be a little clearer, maybe in addition to the map you could have some written directions.

It would also be nice to know additional eating establishments in the area and where they are located.

Rooms were clean and modern. A sea view room would have been nice to have. There was a nice (unused) deck on the roof which had great views.

We had to take a taxi cab from porto azzurro to the hotel whch was ~20 euros. there should be a shuttle service made available or more clearly advertized.

It was frustrating that many receptionists did not speak English and they were not helpful as to the amenities of the property. I would have liked if they told me about the amenities they offered (i.e. mini club for children). We found out about where everything was located by asking other guests. the hotel was very clean and efficient. The food was very good and they offered lunch for all the children which was spectacular!

The only problem we endured, is the restaurant would not allow me in without long slacks. I wish this had been displayed on the website as it was quite embarassing. It was not like I did not have appropriate attire, however, due to the summer months I chose linen short wear.

The hotel does not accept American Express Travelers Checks.

Lovely views, rooms are clean and recently renovated. Nice buffet breakfasts and choice of dinner menu items. The hotel does not offer some of the things we like such as spa services (massage, manicure, etc.) which we anticipated being able to obtain.
