The island is reachable by ferry boats. The nearest port is in Porto Azzurro but we always suggest arriving in Portoferraio as there are more ferries coming in from Piombino during the day (normally, one every 30 minutes). From Portoferraio to here there is a 15-minute car drive in the middle of the countryside. There is a small airport in the island and at the moment of the reservation we will illustrate the best way to reserve a flight (from Italy) to reach us.
By Car: From West - North/West: Highway in direction: Genova - Livorno, further in direction Grosseto, few miles before Grosseto get off the highway at VENTURINA - ISOLA D'ELBA. In Piombino take the ferry-boat to Elba and from the harbour follow the map.
From North: Highway in direction: Milano - Parma - La Spezia - Livorno, further in direction Grosseto, few miles before Grosseto get off the highway at VENTURINA - ISOLA D'ELBA.

By Train:
Trains go in direction Livorno - Rome up to Campiglia Marittima. From Campiglia there are local trains to Piombino Marittima. Time to go about 20 minutes. The station in Piombino Marittima is directly at the ferry port from where you can take the ferry to Island of Elba. |
