 THE ETRUSCAN: In the immediate vicinity there are the little towns of Chiusi and Chianciano of clear Etruscan origin. Chiusi was the capital of the Kingdom of the great king Porsenna. Spread all over the area there are well preserved tombs. Paying your entrance ticket we invite you to discover the ancient world of Italian history by visiting the Chiusi museum (which offers you also a guided tour in the Etruscan tombs).
THE WINE TOUR: The famous town of Montepulciano is only a few km far from Borgo Dolciano. It's a beautiful old town where you may enjoy yourself discovering all the extraordinary gurment world, taste the different excellent kind of local wines and other, from products like olive oil, honey, 'vinsanto', 'grappa' etc.
THE LAKES: Nearly there are three picturesque Lakes: the smaller of Chiusi and Montepulciano and the famous Trasimeno. |
