 Situated in the historical centre of Montalcino, the hotel is nevertheless accessible by car and there is ample parking available for guests. The site of the 18 century building, the "Catasto Leopoldino", which, given its proximity to Porta Burelli, is thought to have also been a refuge in medieval times for the people of Siena as they fled from the Florentine army. |
 The rooms to the rear enjoy breathtaking views of the Orcia and Arbia valleys and look out onto a large garden with a swimming-pool of a style in keeping with its medioeval sourrondings. The remaining rooms, some of which are split-level, also retain the flavour of their ancient Tuscan setting |
