The 'quality of the rooms' question from above. The single room is not spacious. The lighting is very poor as you could not read in bed if you wanted to because the built-in lights are too far away and the wattage is too low. Its also a regret that the Hotel in 2006 offers no gymnasium facilities at all. ... The requested wake-up call never happened. The front desk in the early AM was staffed solely by a unilingual Italian, which was unhelpful. ... A sort-of German hunting lodge with impractical white Italian furniture in the lobby. Breakfasts were the standard seen throughout Italy, except that they offer badly cooked scrambled eggs as well as the usual.

Hotel and grounds where great. Staff..excellent. Hotels dinning facilities not in line with the rest of the hotel at all. Also, the breakfast we had was less extensive that much lower prices places we stayed. Overall, a 10 but it could use more attention on the two areas I mentioned.

English knowledge especially in the restaurant was very poor, in addition there was no selection in the menue. The breakfast and the bar was satifactory.In the room there wasnot enough light it was not possible to read in the evening.

The room we got was somehow occupied and not cleaned. We went down the reception and got a key to a different room ... great view.

Additional information about hotel services provided in each room as well as information about the Chianti area would be appreciated.
The staff was very accommodating in assisting with reservations, etc. ... Very modern, spectacular views, good accommodations.

People knew that we were on our honeymoon and acted as if they were waiting for us - it was a fabulous way to be welcomed! ... Our stay was extraordinary! The hotel had just opened and the staff were really very good. The grounds and the hotel were gorgeous - the pool was wonderful. Our room had an amazing view of Radda and the Chianti countryside. We stayed two extra days becasue we did not want to leave! ... This is the hotel to stay in when you are visiting the Chianti area. The staff was instrumental in our enjoyable stay - they suggested great restaurants and beautiful vineyards. Great location to explore the area..close to vineyards, small towns, Florence and outlet shopping. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone even thinking about staying here - we will return for certain! ... Fabulous.

Great location on the outskirts of the town,fabulous views,very clean. Staff was very friendly and the fact that we don't speak Italian was not a problem, they all speak English very well.

The restaurant at the hotel is only fair. The food is acceptable but not outstanding. The atomsphere of the restaurant is not very inviting, too bright and stark. Also, because of the bright lights and open windows there are too many bugs during dinner.
The breakfast buffet is very good.

We reserved a room with two beds, but were given one with one bed. However, that was quickly rectified, and we were given another room.

There was no person to help us with the luggage, nor there was anyone who could guide us towards our room. We had to find our room ourselves. ... Accomodation was perfect, but there was a problem with the staff. > Diner outside was only possible after complaints of several guests > Breakfast was a disaster : there was always something missing : no bread, no water, no clean table... > Lack of seats around the pool. The hotel is very noisy as the walls are thin. We were put next to a couple with a young child who was always screaming and crying. The staff moved us to another room but in doing so just moved us next to another family with young children. Very disappointing. ... I would not recommend this hotel as a relaxing place to stay due to the noise level.

make choise menu for half board. have a room with a vieuw would be better than looking at a wall, with only 5 rooms taken in the hotel.

This hotel because of its facility with the right investments could be a five star hotel. Great location. Send the owners to a hotel in Positano Hotel Poseidon than they will know what service is about. Then send them to the Casa Morgano on Capri to learn about 5 star hotels

The hotel staff seemed generally unhappy and tense and on one particular day when they had a large turnover in the rooms and absent cleaning staff, they yelled and shouted at one another in front of guests. The 'vibes' were just poor. ... I'd recommend to a friend that they stay in Radda rather than outside Radda. I'd also say that we just didn't get good vibes from the staff and we think it started from the leadership at the place. It just seemed 'off' compared to the other places we stayed during our journey.

A large group was staying at the hotel and the sparse staff were a bit harried. ... The hotel is very beautiful - very modern in furnishings - and therefore not a homey, warm place to stay -- cool atmosphere. ... Very lovely hotel, understaffed. Been there, would not return.
