It was very pleasent, I can recommend everybody who likes beautiful, quiet places and doesn't seek the artificial, sometimes inhuman comfort of supermodern luxus hotels.

We did not have a car and arrived by bus. We
had limited directions and ended up walking 2
km to our destinations. At least Italians are
helpful and friendly even when they don't
speak English!
We had the address, but it is not really in
Quarratta - it is in Casini.

I would have liked to have the option of
having the room cleaned while I was there.
There were no cleaning supplies and Lucia is
very friendly and polite, but does not speak
English so she couldn't understand what I
wanted. We did borrow bikes and get some help,
but communication was difficult.

It would've been nice to know that no one
there would speak English. The person I
corresponded with on e mail does not live or
work there.

An old villa. Not plush. Clean, very quiet,
friendly. Nice country retreat.

Unfortunately we arrived around 20.00 hrs in darkness, because of a flight delay.
We did not know how the extra gas for heating etc would be calculated or how the system worked It would be useful to have a sheet with info at the start of the stay, also with the gas reading etc.
For the rest we loved it.

Arrived in late evening and map was confusing.
Reception by owner was very good and apartment upgraded. Bottle of estate wine was a nice touch.

Apart from ongoing problem with wasp nest on the balcony the accommodation was ok. Owner and caretaker were both very polite.
Rooms were good, nicely furnished, apart from noisy water heater? in main bedroom which brings score down.

apartment in a farmhouse close to Firenze. Nice surroundings with a good pool and barbecue area.
