Everybody was very welcoming and helpful. Lovely place to start when visiting Tuscany. You get a real feel for Italy staying here.

Serena, the owner, was very welcoming and accommodating to us.

The property is excellent. We had a very enjoyable stay at Costa Etrusca and the added bonus was the availability of dinner in the on-site restaurant with typical Tuscan dishes. The experience of being with Serena, Fabrizio and their children was delightful. We enjoyed talking to their other guests too. We had a wonderful holiday at Costa Etrusca and will recommend it to others.

maybe you should add that the bus in san vincenzo, goes only once per hour and only until 7 pm.

Mrs. Serena (Owner)is very good prepared. She is nice, every smiled and helpfull. She told us about many interesting and beutifull places when we can go and she gave us maps and folders. She is very nice and polite. Costa Etrusca is a familiar and friendly place, good for rest and is more beautifull than on website.

Charming with beautifull view. Friendly and helpful owners, familiar atmosphere. And that swimming pool after hot day good for adults and for children (there are two deeps) but not too small. And you musn't prepare breakfast.

A few instructions more would have been helpful, e.g. where to deposit the trash, will it be picked up or do we need to do that.

The photos on the website look very nice, and indeed it is a very nice place and we enjoyed our stay very much. However, in the rooms, the tapestry is loosening, the walls need to be painted over, the toilet was leeking, a few lamps did not work and it took two days to get it fixed, just little details we would have liked to be checked before arrival.

Maybe it would be nice to have a link/ or information about the daytrip possibilities in the area (Pisa, Populonia, Suvereto, the mining village nearby, Volterra, Grosseto,..)

not too crowded, lots of privacy, but also possibilities to connect to other guests (at breakfast time e.g.), so nice contacts possible, lots to see in the area, very nice beaches very nearby, excellent restaurants near and always the possibility to eat 'home' at the Costa Etrusca.
One more suggestion: Since there are quite a few families with babies, it would be nice to have a tiny shop where one can purchase milk, baby food, postcards,...

We were so satisfied that we are planning to go back next year. Mostly what we liked was to see how much the staff really enjoyed what they were doing. Itīs not so common to see genuine people nowadays, so therefore we were also impressed. Atmosphere was very good! Not to mention the nature in Toscany, and the weather. Generally it was all pretty much what we thought it would be.

I think you should give extra-credit for the staff. :) They were so friendly.

Owner was unexpectedly away for a few days, but left phone number to contact her. After a short wait, a lady who apparently did the cooking arrived to let us in.

The bed felt damp, otherwise the bedroom and bathroom were ok. The kitchen/living area was extremely cramped and had a bad smell. You would not have wanted to sit in there for any length of time, nor slept in there as a child or third person.

Had the owner, who spoke good English, been there at our arrival, we would have asked for an upgrade. We were only there for three nights, so decided not to make a fuss. The main buildings and pool area were lovely, and there appeared to be some modern appartments, but our accomodation looked like converted farm buildings. This would have been fine except for the damp and the smell.

Not suitable for more than two. Damp and smell need to be looked at, also furnishing and equipment very basic. Fridge leaked. The photograph of the bedroom that appears alongside Il Pitosforo description,is not the one of the accomodation.

I would not recommend this place to a friend, I must admit. The location was ok, except for the overhead skips, transporting marble from the quarry up the road to the railway, about 3 kms away. This blighted the landscape.
