I chose Corte Di Valle because of its vineyards and olive trees. I was hoping to be able to learn something about olive oil and wine production, but this did not happen. It would be very nice for the staff to provide some tours.

We were offered a complimentary glass on wine which was very welcoming.
Luckily our friends who knew Tuscany well told us about the cement factory next door or we would have been shocked.

The rooms were excellent but perhaps understandably we were not told that there was a cement factory nearby. Luckily we could not see it from our room but the noise was disturbing particularly the first night. We had to sleep with our shutters closed.

I was actually happy with it: it was an elegant building on a wine estate with large, well-decorated rooms that were clean. The gardens were proudly kept and the view from our window breathtaking. The price reflects the negative visual impact and noise of the factory but I think the guest should be made aware of this. It is such incidents that make booking over the internet disappointing. It is a good base for travelling to towns in Tuscany, not a quiet resort style location.

I selected Corte di Valle partly because it promised the use of a restaurant. This was not strictly accurate as it only offered only one evening meal during the week of our stay. At other times, all that was available was plated ham and cheese.This meant we had to drive out again each evening for a family meal.

A beautiful villa in a peaceful location.Lots of rustic charm . We enjoyed the use of the pool.
