Got directions to the hotel from Tourist Info in Lucca. On arrival, receptionist was in kitchen working a machine which prevented her from hearing our calls at the reception desk.

The room was the most spacious, comfortable and best equipped that we stayed in throughout our 3 week visit to Italy. Ideally located, and given excellent advice on where to dine. Parking easy thanks to very helpful receptionist.

Charming hotel, ideally located, with friendly staff, offering an excellent breakfast buffet. Comfortable and well-equipped bedroom and bathroom.

Went down and tried to check out just before departure to speed things up. Substitute (rookie) receptionist was on duty that did not speak english. Told her we were checking out and she seemed to gesture all was taken care of and paid for w/ credit card supplied earlier, only to have her chase us down street w/ bill when we later tried to catch the train. Was minor misunderstanding due to language barrier that was quickly straigtened out. No biggie.

Beautiful small boutique type hotel. Very friendly hardworking staff. Gorgeous rooms, w/ huge murals walled murals, plush towels, bathrobes and slippers, etc. Very romantic. Very clean. Good breakfast. Highly recommend!!!
