 The tourist complex is located just 6 km from the Pistoia exit (A 11), surrounding by the typical hilly landscape of the Chianti Montalbano, 3 km from the center of town in the Pontenuovo district, in the direction of Montale, located at mid-hill at an elevation of 230 m above sea level, looking out over the Pistoia plain, which provides a stupendous panorama and where, from the terrace on particularly clear days, you can see Brunelleschi's dome and Giotto's Bell Tower in Florence. |
By car:
From the exit Pistoia of the A11 (Firenze-Mare), follow directions to Montale and at the second roundabout take your left and drive up on a large street. Take the second exit to Montale, at the crossroad turn right and drive for about 2 km. You will find the sign Pontenuovo and after few hundreds meters, on a small bridge, you have to turn left in a narrow street between two houses. You are now in a country street that takes you up on the hill.You can't miss the Il Convento now.
By train:
The nearest train station is Pistoia, then we suggest you to take a taxi, or to rent a car.
By air:
The nearest airport is Florence. From there you can tak the shuttle till Florence station SMN, and then the train till Pistoia, or you can rent a car. |
