A beautiful, relaxing vineyard in the hills overlooking Lucca, an old Tuscan town which has everything its more famous neighbour Pisa has, except for the tower, but is actually much nicer because you don't feel like a cog in the tourist machinery there. Lucca is also good for exploring other parts of Tuscanny, from coast to mountains. Colle Verde is a great place to stay because it is beautiful, spacious, even luxurious, but it is also an actual fattoria where people work and tend the crops and you're welcomed into a part of living, rural Italy, rather than into a museum. No small thanks to the friendly proprietor Piero, a forthcoming, colurful man. Deserves every star in the book.

The whole experience was very pleasing on arrival, the check in was efficient and very helpful with information about local amenities, the complex area was very clean and well maintained and the accomodation was clean and well presented.

The Taverna was no longer an available facility at the premises.
The bedrooms would benefit from screens and fans in August as it is very hot and the mosquitos bite..

Although detailed on the website the home produce wine and oil is of the top quality and I would recommend that visitors forget the supermarket and purchase on site.

I would have no hesitation in recommending the Fattoria Colle Verde and have no doubt that we will return.

For those weekly rates a small gift (bottle of wine) would have been a nice welcome present.

Unfortunately the terrace was in the basement and we had to transport the food on a long way from the kitchen to eat outside. If we had known this we wouldn't have made the reservation.

They produce one of the best olive oils in wholse Italy.

Fattoria Cole Verde was great...I would highly recommend it and would happily return. Piero and Alessia were most accommodating...while also respecting our privacy. The facility was as described - beautiful, clean and comfortable.

Everything was outstanding. I would only suggest that guests understand that there is no air conditioning and/or fans...could be an issue in the summer.

Idyllic...great foothill view into the valley and very relaxing/tranquil. Great location in the heart of Tuscany for day trips - we used it to see Cinque Terre, Pisa, Siena and Vilareggio. Lucca was charming and an easy 8 minute drive for dinners and shopping.

Better directios would have made it easier

Restuarant implied open once a week and as required, closed ? But available for American tourists No TV (had children)insufficient umbrellas around pool if all residents out at once. Pool edge in need repair unsafe with young children. Needed fans so hot which were in fairness provided on day 3 after request day 2

Indicate some distance from shops and restuarants at least 15/20 min drive to limited shopping.Very peaceful with super views, friendly people

Staff member and owner were there to meet us; very friendly and helpful.

We had not been aware that it was a working 'farm', and were pleased to be given a tour of the facilities for wine-making and olive oil processing. The products are excellent.

We tried to extend our stay an extra day, and the staff was helpful in contacting airlines to rearrange our schedule. However, this proved to be difficult, and as it happened, the Fattoria was fully booked, so we stayed with our original planned departure.

First class accommodation, warm hospitable staff, magnificent rural setting, convenient large city (Lucca)for shopping.
