Profile |
The farmhouse "La Collacchia" is situated within a picturesque environment, on the top of a lush green hill with a breathtaking view of the Gulf of Follonica and the island of Elba as well as of the yacht harbour, (still in course of construction and with berth for 575 boats).
We rent apartments of different sizes, which are equipped with all comforts. From the apartments you can reach by cycling or walking the splendid bays "Cala Violina" and "Cala Martina" which are known because of their beautiful natural beaches and its limpid water. |
We have a heated swimming pool with jacuzzi with a size of 8x16 m. There is also a sun terrace, from where one can enjoy a marvellous view over the whole Gulf of Follonica with the Island of Elba.
Within 5 minutes only, it is possible to reach the centre of Puntone where you can find everything you need (bakery, grocery store, butcher, chemist, newsagent, post-office, bar, restaurant).
People who love the nature will find the ideal place to hike, ride on horseback or on mountain bikes along the coast or inside of the country hills. |
Golfers can play golf in Punta Ala (12 km), on one of the most beautiful golf links of the world. Within a few months will be concluded the construction of a golf course in Follonica (5 km).
Follonica is situated directly on the gulf of the same name and was discovered by tourism only a few years ago. Follonica is on the one hand enclosed by its typical Tuscan hills and on the other hand by its beautiful sandy beaches. The sea breeze of the Gulf of Follonica during the summer and the shady pine forest as well as the mild climate make it possible to have a pleasant stay for the whole year. |
Not only tourists who love sea and nature, but also those who would like to do excursions to the nearest towns of great cultural and artistic interest, can be satisfied. Famous towns like Florence, Pisa, Siena, Volterra and Rome, just to name some of the numerous possibilities, are easily reached by car, train or bus.
People who are not willing to go too far, but would also like to see typical Italian towns of the Middle Ages (Scarlino, Massa Marittima, Montepulciano), or famous seaside resorts (Castiglione della Pescaia, Punta Ala) or innumerable Etruscan excavations (Vetulonia, Roselle), can reach them within just one hour.
One should even mention that this region is famous in the whole world for its excellent quality of extravirgin olive oil, D.O.C. wines and many other typical products of the Maremma. |
