Very smooth and efficient ... I have stayed at the Castello Oliveto in the past and they have maintained the same high standards ... Very easy ... They have wine tasting I think 3 times per week and the excellent restaurant is open 1 day per week ... Perfect for both families and we more mature people and those who wish to explore the beatiful region of Tuscany

The accommodation offered by Castello di Oliveto is absolutely first class in every respect. Just what the doctor ordered. ... Checking out could not have been better. We were each given a large Cappuccino, and sat in the Castle enjoying the sunshine, a coffee, and some good conversation before leaving. The whole process could not have been made any more civilized. ... Castello di Oliveto offers their guests the opportunity to take a step back in time, in the most tranquil and restful of surroundings. This is a truly wonderful spot, and the beauty of the surroundings cannot be overstated. The staff at Castello di Oliveto are attentive and helpful, and worked very hard to make our stay as pleasurable as possible. ... Of course, like everything in life, everyone will have a different perspective as to what constitutes 'good accommodation'. Castello di Oliveto is not a five star hotel by any means, and my advice to those looking for 'luxury' is to check into a five star hotel in one of the many beautiful cities around the region. If however, like ourselves, you are a traveller (and not a tourist) who is seeking the more tranquil, restful, relaxing, and unique experiences offered by the many Agritourismo in Tuscany, then my advice would be to seriously consider Castello di Oliveto. If you, like ourselves, have an adventurous spirit, and would consider driving windy country (dirt) roads to the top of a mountain where your accommodation is located as fun, and can appreciate the peace that only this location can offer, then Castello di Oliveto is definitely a place you will enjoy. The fact that nearby there is the 600 year old castle where three popes have stayed only adds to the unique pleasure and history that Castello di Oliveto offers to their guests. In short, I would rate this place with six stars. Go and spend a few weeks there, and you will not be disappointed.

Unbelievable site to visit and very convenient location in Tuscany. Great staff, very romantic apartment, great food. ... off seson only means cooler weather...and less cost ... Incredible castle and grounds. Romantic farmhouse apartment, perfect for that special getaway and yet close to everything you want to see and do in Florence, Pisa, Certaldo, Sienna and beyond. The staff made it easy for us and made sure we were all set.

We did have some trouble getting to our accomodations, but I thought this was more an issue with the Italian roads than with the directions. ... Our accomodations were fantastic. The staff was very friendly and helpful. ... No. ... We had a great apartment with an amazing view overlooking the Tuscan hills.

Angelina who was working on the reception was most helpful and provided every assistance that we needed. She is an asset for your organization. ... The castello is magnificent and the surrounding area is gorgeous. The views of the hills from our villa were like a painting. The dinner at the Castello was one of the high points of our trip.

Initially a little confusion over our booking but this was more than compensated by the bigger apartment. ... We were just amazed at what a wonderful location this was. We felt like we could have stayed longer and spent more time just relaxing at the apartment. ... Very simple. We were told to simply leave the keys on the table and leave. Excellent. ... More should be said about the quietness of the place, the stunning views especially from the swimming pool. ... An absloute must. The ideal place for a get away from it all holiday yet lots of places of interest nearby.

Accommodation is very far away from the Castello building. The accommodation is reasonably comfortable, but very remote. The lighting is poor in the kitchen area so it is difficult to cook, the kitchen utensils are inadequate (blunt knives, no kettle or toaster, no detergent to wash dishes). The bathrooms and bedrooms are comfortable and clean. ... There is only one washing machine shared by all guests, so the waiting period is long. For people who wants to go touring each day, it is inconvenient to have to wait for your turn in the laundry before leaving for the day. They should have more than one washing machine and perhaps coin operated dryers. ... You must have a car to get to the Castello as well as your accommodation. The accomodation is quite far up a hill, and you will be driving through dirt tracks.

We came 1/2 hour late, that may why the receptionist was very busy, because there was also a wedding going on.
Further the people were very friendly and helpsome. ... The apartments are sober, but good value for money.

we had to wait even though they were there. One staff member was very polite and nice ( Valeria?) others noninterested ... it was not clear to us that the cottage is very far away from tenniscourt ( awfull state) and castle. Also the second pool was not in use and is not near the cottages. Ample parking space when full. ... good arrangement to leave keys on table, but too early ( before 9h)Also very early before 8h the cleaners started in next door cottage which was very noisy ... state that the cottages and tenniscourt are very far away. Also a tour in the castle is not really possible ... the cottage was excellent: clean, nice view, close to pool. Sofa for kids nt very comfotable for long stays. Also very expensive.

the staff were excellent throughout our whole stay. ... on the website the photos are of the newer villa so obviously we expected we'd be staying in the newer one. The older villas were still adequate and comfortable but no photos of them existed on the website so your expectations are obviously going to be higher. ... Comfortable, great location and excellent swimming pool, relaxing.

It was much further from the Castle than expected. The restaurant was not open. Everything was under renovation. We did, however, enjoy our stay.

We got lost on the way and then didn't know where to enter the castle....but we eventually figured it out. More signs would be helpful. ... Enjoyed everything but the gravel road up to the accommodation. Extremely rough and unpleasant going. We even limited our comings and goings because of the terrible road. ... Great views of Tuscan countryside...old world feel. Quiet and pleasant. Good location.
