By Car from the north of Italy:
take the A1 (green sign) motorway towards Florence up to the "Firenze Scandicci" exit sign. Then take the freeway FI-PI-LI (blue sign) towards Pisa - Livorno and leave it at the "Empoli-Ovest" exit sign. Then take the 429 provincial road towards Castelfiorentino-Certaldo-Siena. After crossing Castelfiorentino, follow the 429 provincial road direction Certaldo and Siena. After about 1 km from Castelfiorentino, you will find a narrow road on your left and a signpost with "Castello d'Oliveto" written on it. The Castle is about 4 km from there. Drive straight ahead until you reach a crossroad: turn right following the sign "Castello di Oliveto" and go straight on, up on the road, until the top of the hill where the castle is located. The reception is inside the castle, first office on the left.
Coming from the south of Italy:
take the A1 (green sign) motorway towards Florence and leave it after the "Val di Chiana" exit sign. Take the provincial road towards Siena, then follow the road signs in order to take the freeway SI-FI (blue sign) towards Florence. Leave it at Poggibonsi, then take the 429 provincial road towards Certaldo-Castelfiorentino-Empoli. After crossing Certaldo, follow the 429 provincial road, cross the village of Petrazzi, then you will find a big car distributor (FIAT) and after that a narrow road and a signpost with "Castello d'Oliveto" written on it. The Castle is about 4 km from there. Drive straight ahead untill you reach a crossroad: turn right following the sign "Castello di Oliveto" and go straight on, up on the road, until the top of the hill where the castle is located. The reception is inside the castle, first office on the left.
