 Swimming Pools: At Castle of Oliveto there are two swimming pools where every moment of the day will be an occasion to relax immersed in an exclusive environment, leaving time behind and discovering a new dimension in this unique natural context. |
 Restaurant: the restaurant by the castle is open for wedding receptions, ceremonies, events. During summertime, it opens once every week for evening meals with entertainment. It is the ideal setting for wedding parties, tasting of local products, special dinners in the Medieval atmosphere of the Castle or for business meetings. |
 Banquets & Weddings: The Castle was built as a summer country house and nowadays it is mostly used in the period between April and October. In fact besides offering wide inner halls (heated), it offers guests the possibility of enjoying the courtyard, the garden, the gallery and the marvellous "Rivellino". The gallery next to the hall can be the ideal place for a coffee break, a tasting of wine, an afternoon snack, an aperitif with hors d'oeuvres before dinner, or for a summer dancing party.
Meetings & Congresses: In the Castle there is a wide hall that can accommodate 90 persons for a lunch, a dinner, a meeting (seating capacity: 150 persons). Next to the hall there are two symmetrical smaller halls that can accommodate 40 persons each. They can be used for meetings as well (seating capacity 50 persons). |
 Courtyard: In the courtyard one can find an ancient atmosphere thanks to the shining stars in the sky and to torches on the battlements of the Castle. Here one can spend special moments such as summer dinners, theatrical performances and concerts.
Cooking Classes & Other Courses: Small and large groups of tourists can spend the day learning how to make pasta, or harvesting grapes or doing other activities |
 Tours: The Castle is situated in the heart of the Florentine hills. It has always been the ideal place where people can relax and see the Tuscan country , beautiful cities and historical hamlets. It is very easy to reach important historical cities near Oliveto. In fact Florence is about 30 km from here, Siena 50 km, Pisa 80 km and Volterra is 40 km from here. Not far from the Castle (within 15 km) you can see Certaldo Alta, which was Giovanni Boccaccio's birth-place: it is a very beautiful medieval town. Besides, you can see Saint Verdiana's Church and its picture-gallery in Castelfiorentino, San Gimignano and its towers and some country churches such as: Volteggiano's church, San Lazzaro's parish church in Lucardo, Chianni's parish church, Caiano's parish church.
Sport Facilities: You can practise several activities such as swimming, playing tennis and shooting with the arc, or you can hire bicycles or go on excursions. |
