Travellers Reviews

There can be nothing that anyone could possible say that was bad about this vacation accommodation. The only thing I could say would be that when I booked this I set specific dates. I think that 'worldby.Com' should have advised that whilst my dates were fine the actual booking was from Friday to Saturday. There was some confusion with our group because we believed that we had only booked 6 days not 7. ... I cannot express enough how much we enjoyed our stay at Tenuta La Cipresseta. Rosita made us feel most welcome and was obviously very proud of these apartments. Everying thing in the units was clean the decorations were extremely fitting for what we, the traveller, believe Tuscany would be like. One of the exception touches would be the folders that Rosita has put together for visitors which include maps to Firenza, Pisa, San Giminano and Sienna. These folders were just so helpful in completing our stay. ... Include the folders. Knowing that if you have not got maps they are there for use. Also, there is great information in these folders about the local shops, especially useful as this is 'self-catering' accommodation. ... Tenuta La Cipresseta would have to be the best, most wonderful place I have ever stayed in. Go, drink and enjoy the location and scenery.

The actual road to the property is a gravel road, and there is a place where it divides. The sign to the property is pointed incorrectly and takes you onto the wrong part of the road. After taking the wrong fork, and figuring out it was the wrong fork, we went back and took the other fork. It, of course, took us right to the property. The sign should be turned so that it points to the correct fork. ... It was lovely, quiet, and quite comfortable. It had all the promised amenities and was simply beautiful. The owners were very nice, speaking moderate English. The only thing I wished is that they could have given some information about where to go to buy olive oil from another farm, since Tenuta la Cipresseta did not produce any this year. It turns out we found some by accident, very close, on the last evening we were in Tuscany. It would have been helpful if the owners had mentioned their neighboring farm. ... It was a beautiful setting, on top of a mountain, extremely quiet, with a stunning view. The apartment was spacious, well furnished, quite comfortable, and beautifully decorated.

When arriving,we missed the turn to Monsanto and ended up a bit lost in Barberina Val d'Elsa,I think because the turn happens so soon. I would suggest a slight addition to your directions as follows. Under heading, By Car from Highway A1 Rome-Florence-Milan, middle sentence. 'When you get to the roundabout follow the direction Barberina Val d'Elsa but almost immediately after only 30 metres, turn right for Monsanto.' etc. I think that clarification would really help. ... A most enjoyable place to stay. The owner, family and staff were very friendly, professional and hospitable. ... No, everything went very well. ... No, apart from my suggested small amendment to directions for arrival. ... Beautiful environment.Very good central location in Chianti and mid Tuscany. Good facilities and value for money.

The staff was very accommodating at our early check-out. It was necessary to leave 1 day early due to work and they were very good about doing that even though it affected their plans for the evening. ... People are wonderful. Area is quiet and very pretty. We went during the winter and had a great time. Easy drives to Florence and other cities.
