Il Ciocco is situated 500 mt. above sea-level in the hearth of Garfagnana, in the north of Tuscany at 40km from Lucca, 60km from Pisa and 110km from Florence, not far from the village of Castelvecchio Pascoli in a private thousand-acre estate overlooking the Serchio Valley and the Apuane mountains.

How To Reach Us

 
By Car
From Rome or Bologna: A1 motorway until Florence, then A11 motorway until exit for Lucca.
From Genoa: A12 motorway to Viareggio then A11 motorway until exit for Lucca.
From Milan: A15 "Cisa" motorway to Viareggio then A11 motorway until exit for Lucca.
From Lucca: follow signs to "Abetone". When signs for Castelnuovo di Garfagnana appear, follow them. At 31.6 km, reach Galiciano, and at 36.6 km reach Ponte di Campia. At 36.9 km, turn right and cross a bridge over the river. Immediately turn left, up the hill. At 38.4 km, turn left into Il Ciocco.

By Train
The most convenient station for Il Ciocco is Barga-Gallicano (about 5 km away) on the Pisa Centrale-Aulla line. The distance from Pisa Airport to the Train Station is a 5 minute cab ride (3 km).

Il Ciocco organise transfers by bus or mini-coach from:
-Pisa airport, where direct flights from London, Paris, Frankfurt and the most important italian cities arrive daily.
-Pisa railway station, which is easily accessible, being on the Tirrenia line where many Inter-city trains pass from both north and south.
