The place was beautiful and totally lived up
to the expectations provided by the website.
Welcoming was warm once I found the lady.
...
Very quiet, calming and charming. The
appartment was beautiful and was keeping
with the old charm of the castle.

And the
restaurant served very good food too! One of
the best restaurant experiences I have had
in Italy!
...
Charming, quiet, peaceful, only hear birds
singing. Calming for soul and mind.

Very relaxing. Friendly and helpful staff.
Absolutely beautiful setting. We stayed for two weeks and it really felt like home. We had 5 couples with one apartment per couple. All were completely satisfied. We also spent a few nights in Rome, Venice, Torino and Viareggio, but our experience at the Castello di Lamole was by far the best!

The surroundings were spectacular, but the
castello was more isolated than I had expected
(although this was not really a problem)
...
Spectacular setting, quiet and peaceful - an
ideal place for a relaxing stay in a rural
area that offers easy access to Florence and
Siena(by car)if one wants to make day trips to
these cities, and also well-located for anyone
who wants to explore the Chianti Classico
region.

Although it was a bit confusing where to go when we first arrived, the woman at reception saw our car drive by and came out to greet us.

Castello Di Lamole was truly a magical place amongst a magical setting. Although definitely not a castle, this old converted farm house with several different buildings has real charm. We were somewhat dissapointed that the pool was not open for the season, seeing that it was an unseasonably warm April. (reception said they don't open it till late May) Although our room did not have a view, you simply had to walk outside to be engulfed by the countryside. We stayed in one of the few B&B rooms (no self catering) and found it to be lovely, yet a bit dark. (two small windows). I would highly recomend this place for people who love antiques and simple natural surroundings. For us, it was the perfect rest after a busy trip to Rome.

The restaurant at Castello di Lamole was excellent! We had a simple breakfast each morning that was included in our stay. And ate there one of the evenings. The menu was all in Italian but the waiter had perfect English and kindly translated the entire thing for us. The food was outstanding!

Truly magical. A little piece of Tuscan life.

We arrived at 7 o clock in the evening. The reception was closed so the chef came out and gave us the key. The morning after we met with the lady working in the reception. She was wonderful and helped us with all we needed to know and see in Tuscany. She showed us how to drive and get to Firenze. Absolutely great!
...
Beautiful and quiet surroundings. A joy to stay at Lamole.
...
organized. We felt very welcome and want to come back!
...
The only negative thing about this wonderful place was the breakfast which was only between 9 til 10. And every morning the breakfast was late and not ready when we arrived. Otherwise everything was great with the beutiful little village Greve in Chianti just a couple of kilometers away from Lamole.
...
Absolutely beautiful! Great helpful staff. We felt as part of the family and could really recommend Castello di Lamole to friends and family. Nice clean big room with a feeling of old style. Bathroom was very new and clean.

I downloaded a detailed map, which helped the most. Beautiful place in the hills of Tuscany, surrounded by hills of grapes, trees and great views out our window. I was a little worried about being too hot, during late June, with no AC, but it was fine with the elevation. Pleasant hosts and helpful with suggestions around the area and Florence.
...
See above.
...
No one there when had to leave, but paid when arrived so nothing to settle and not a problem. Left key near door of office.
...
Good site if you want to go to Florence for a day, approx. 40 minutes for us to drive. Good location to see Greve area and to venture out to many of the Tuscany hill towns. Had time to visit 4 in one day and still be home in light hours.

...
Narrow picturesque winding road to a rebuilt 13th century castle-type B&B atmosphere(without the breakfast). Good clean accomodations with small kitchen/ frig./ stove, friendly hosts, option of restr there, own food or eat out. Good central location for the mid - Tuscany region, to drive around with rental car. Beautiful views and area. Romantic place.

Despite the fact that we made the reservation in November 2007, we did not have the apartment we wanted the first night. We were put in a smaller one with steep stone slippery stepst to the bedroom.
We were very unhappy about that--they did move us the next day.
There was rarely anyone in the office area, and there were no hours posted when it would be open. We had difficulty finding someone to pay on Friday because we wanted to leave early on Saturday. We would have liked to have someone available for advice and assistance at times during the week.
...
It is not really a 'castello' but a rambling and rough old farmhouse.
...
As I said--it was difficult to find someone in the office ever. The cook had to call what I assume was the owner so that he could drive over Friday evening and accept our payment.
...
The accommodations are rougher than expected.
There was little heat--even though we found the thermostat, it was cold. I slept in a sweatshirt at night.
...
Interesting, but more like a camp than a castello.
