 Our organic farm near Siena. A villa, apartments and farmhouses on the Grotti Castle estate. Relax in the countryside and visit the nearby towns of Tuscany. Accommodations range from an apartment for 2 to an elegantly decorated villa for 10. Grotti is a small village just 12 km from Siena in Tuscany. We have several vacation rentals that make up the estate of the Castle, from apartment rentals for 2-3 guests to villas and farmhouses with accommodations for up to 10.
Villas & Apartments at the Grotti Castle
The farmhouse Casa della Mucca has 2 apartments, the Guardiola is a 2 bedroom country house, Villa Ballati is a villa with accommodations for 10 guests and Ballatina is a 1 bedroom apartment. All vacation rentals have been recently restored and are located within the park of the castle. Enjoy views of the hills of Tuscany, Siena and Chianti in the distance.
Casa della Mucca I: 2 bedroom apartment
Casa della Mucca is a farmhouse on the Grotti Castle grounds. The house has been divided in 2 apartment rentals, one upstairs and the down. Casa della Mucca I is a 2 bedroom apartment with accommodations for 3 on the ground floor of the farmhouse. The apartment is comprised of: sitting / dining room; corner kitchen; 1 double bedroom; 1 single bedroom; 1 bathroom w/ shower. Lovely brick detail has been preserved in this ground floor apartment. You enter to a living room with sofa bed and small corner kitchen. There is a double bedroom and a second smaller bedroom with 1 twin bed. All rooms have windows to let in the light. The bathroom is complete shower, sink, w.c. and bidet. You'll find the decor that of a typical farmhouse in Tuscany, with exposed beams and cotto tile floors. In the gardens you'll find tables and chairs where you can enjoy the views of Tuscany. Nearby, at just 500 meters, you'll find the village of Ville di Corsano with a restaurant, bar, post office and supermarket.
Casa della Mucca II: 2 bedroom apartment
This is a two bedroom apartment rental on the upper floor of the Casa della Mucca farmhouse on the grounds of Grotti Castle. There is another apartment downstairs, perfect for groups traveling together. The upstairs apartment is comprised of: sitting / dining room; corner kitchen; 1 double bedroom; 1 twin bedroom (2 beds); 1 bathroom w/ shower. You access the apartment via an external brick staircase and into the living/dining room. The apartment has a well equipped kitchen and two bedrooms, one with a queen sized bed and one with two twins. The bathroom is complete shower, sink, w.c. and bidet. The apartment is decorated in the style of a typical farmhouse in Tuscany, with exposed beams and cotto tile floors. From the windows, one can catch a glimpse of Siena as well as the beautiful surrounding countryside of Tuscany. In the gardens you'll find tables and chairs where you can enjoy the views. Nearby, at just 500 meters, you'll find the village of Ville di Corsano with a restaurant, bar, post office and supermarket. |
 La Guardiola: 2 bedroom stone farmhouse
La Guardiola, once the house of the castle's guardian, is now a 2 bedroom stone farmhouse with accommodations for 4 guests. The one story farmhouse has been completely restored and is comprised of: living / dining room with fireplace; kitchen; 1 double bedroom; 1 twin bedroom (2 beds); 1 bathroom w/ shower. The farmhouse is all on one level. There is a small entry way with a kitchenette off to one side. This leads to the living/dining room with a cozy fireplace. There are doors from the living room out to the private garden where you can enjoy the views of Tuscany. At the other end of the farmhouse are the two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other with 2 twin beds. The bathroom is complete shower, sink, w.c. and bidet. You can easily day trip to many of the towns of Tuscany, including Siena which is just 12 km away. The nearest village is Ville di Corsano 500 meters from the Grotti castle. Here you will find the Post Office and a supermarket as well as a good restaurant. Florence at 70 km., Grosseto at 55 km.
Ballatina: 1 bedroom apartment
Ballatina is a one bedroom independent apartment on the ground floor of Villa Ballati, an 18th century villa located on the grounds of the Grotti Castle. It can be rented as a separate apartment or together with the villa. The apartment has been completely restored and is comprised of: entry way; small kitchen; large bedroom; fireplace; antique furnishings; 1 bathroom w/ shower. The Ballatina apartment rental has a private entrance to the villa. There is an entry way that leads to the small but well equipped kitchen. A doorway leads to the large bedroom with a fireplace. The bathroom is complete shower, sink, w.c. and bidet. The apartment looks out on to a large lawn and the Grotti Castle. Nearby is a wooded area and you'll have views of the hills surrounding Siena. Aside from the fireplace, there is also centralized heating making this vacation rental a perfect choice all year round. Upon request, laundry facilities are available. Nearby, at just 500 meters, you'll find the village of Ville di Corsano with a restaurant, bar, post office and supermarket. You can easily make day trips to some of the most beautiful towns of Tuscany, including Siena (12 Km) and Florence (70 km).
Villa Ballati: 5 bedroom 18th century luxury villa with frescoes
The 2 storey villa has accommodations for 10 guests. Additional accommodations for 2 are available in the private apartment Ballatina on the ground floor of the villa. Located on the grounds of the Grotti Castle, the villa has been completely renovated and is comprised of:
Ground floor- living room with fireplace; dining room; large kitchen with dishwasher; 1 bathroom.
Upper floor- 2 sitting rooms; 2 double bedrooms; 3 twin bedrooms (2 beds each); 2 bathroom.
The ground floor of the villa has a living room with fireplace and a separate dining room. On the other side of the entrance is the large kitchen, complete with dishwasher. There is also a bathroom with shower on this floor. The ceilings are vaulted with exposed brick. An antique staircase of travertine leads to the upper floor where you'll find 2 sitting rooms and 5 bedrooms. 2 of the bedrooms have queen sized beds, one with ensuite bath. The other three each have 2 twin beds. The is another bathroom near the other bedrooms, all with shower, sink, w.c. and bidet. The ceilings of the upper floow of the villa have exposed beams of chestnut wood. The villa has centralized heating making this vacation rental perfect also in the off season. Laundry facilities available upon request. The villa looks out onto a grassy lawn with the castle in the background on one side, the other sides look out on a garden and views of Tuscany that go from Siena to Chianti. At just 500 meters from the villa, you'll find the village of Ville di Corsano with a post office, bar, restaurant and supermarket.  Certino - apartments in a farmhouse near Siena and the village of Grotti.
Certino is a two story, traditional Tuscan farmhouse just outside the village of Grotti and just 12 km from Siena. This typical country house sits on a hill above the Castello di Grotti estate and has been recently restored and decorated with care. The Certino farmhouse is divided into 3 apartments with accommodations for 2, 4 or 6 guests. The position of the farmhouse affords wonderful views, with Siena, the hills of Chianti and in the distance Pienza and Montepulciano on one side, and on the other an olive grove and a large lawn surrounded by fruit trees where guests can enjoys the outdoors. The farmhouse has centralized heating and all apartments include a fireplace making for perfect accommodation year round.
Agriturismo Certino I: Two bedroom apartment
The Certino-1 apartment, recently restored and decorated, is located on the upper floor of the Certino Farmhouse, found just outside the village of Grotti near Siena. This is a 2 bedroom apartment plus a converted attic space providing accommodations for 4-6 guests. The farmhouse is at the edge of a large olive grove. The apartment is comprised of: Living / dining area with fireplace; Kitchen; 2 double bedrooms; attic space with 2 single beds; 1 bath with shower. An external staircase leads to the entry way which opens onto the large living area with a sofa, armchairs, dining table and chairs, and a typical fireplace found in country houses in Tuscany. To the right of the living area is the kitchen equipped with 4 burner stove, sink, refrigerator, and everything you will need to cook for 6 people. Going up 4 steps you'll find the two double bedrooms, the larger of which enjoys a wonderful view of Siena. A wooden staircase leads up to the attic space with two single beds. The bath has a shower, sink, w.c. and bidet. The entire farmhouse has centralized heating for the winter. The apartment looks out to one side at Siena, the other the village of Grotti and to the south a large olive grove. All details attesting to the magnificence of this country house have been preserved so that you can still admire the medieval stones in a doorway, the cotto floors typical of Tuscany, and the wooden beams in the ceiling. The furnishings are those typical of a countryhouse in Tuscany, chosen with care to be warm, comfortable and inviting. Nearby, in the village of Ville di Corsano, at 800 meters, you'll find a restaurant, a bar, a post office and supermarket. Siena is just 12 km away. |
 Agritourism Certino - Siena: 2 bedroom apartment
The Siena apartment, in the recently remodeled Tuscan farmhouse Certino, is located at the edge of a large olive grove. The apartment has been furnished and decorated with care and is situated on two floors of the country house. This vacation rentals has accommodations for 4 guests and is comprised of: Living area with fireplace on the ground floor; Large kitchen and dining area on the ground floor; 2 double bedrooms on the upper floor; 1 bath with shower. From the courtyard of the farmhouse, you enter the living area with fireplace. To the right you'll find the kitchen and dining area. The kitchen is equipped with a 4 burner stove, refrigerator and all the necessities to cook for 4. From the living room, on the left an archway leads to a large staircase of terra cotta tiles which takes you to a large landing on the upper floor. The landing on the upper floor of the apartment leads to the two bedrooms, one of which has a picture window with a wonderful view of Siena and the other with a view of a large olive grove. The bath is complete with shower, sink, w.c. and bidet. This apartment, as with all apartments in the Certino farmhouse, has centralized heating. Though recently restored, details of the past were conserved so you can still admire the remains of a stone tower, the floors in terra cotta and the wooden beams made of walnut on the ceilings. You'll find everything you need in the nearby village of Corsano, including a supermarket for cooking at home and a restaurant for eating out, as well as the post office. Siena is a mere 12 km away.
Agritourism Certino - Palio: 1 bedroom apartment
The Palio apartment in the Certino agritourism is on the ground floor of a recently remodeled farmhouse near Siena in Tuscany. This apartment rental sleeps 2 and has a small private courtyard shaded by a fig tree and a lovely terrace with wonderful views. This one bedroom vacation rentals includes: entrance way; living area with small fireplace; kitchen; 1 double bedroom; 1 bath with shower. From the entrance way, up one step you enter the living area with fireplace. From the living area, up another step you'll find the double bedroom with en suite bath complete with shower, sink, w.c. and bidet. As with the other apartments in the Certino farmhouse, the heating is centralized. The bright kitchen is down a step from the entrance and is equipped with 2 two burner stove, sink, refrigerator and all the necessities to prepare meals for 2. The farmhouse looks out on a large lawn and an olive grove. The floors and fireplace in terra cotta tiles, the exposed beams on the ceilings and the furnishings are all typical of country houses in Tuscany. Whether cooking in or eating out you'll find all you need at just 800 meters in the village of Ville di Corsano. Just a bit further a field is Siena at a distance of 12 km. |
 Farmhouse Pozzarello
A lovely two-story country house, once the gardener's home and now a vacation rental, sits just outside the castle gates, beside the estate's private chapel on pleasant wooded grounds. There is garden space for outdoor dining adjacent to the original summer kitchen and the old well (il pozzo). The house is not heated.
Pozzarello: 4 bedroom Farmhouse
The farmhouse Pozzarello is a 2 story, 4 bedroom vacation rental in Tuscany just outside the park of Grotti Castle near Siena. There are accommodations for up to 8 guests and the farmhouse is comprised of:

Pozzarello is a typical country house of Tuscany located 12 km from Siena and just outside the walls of the Grotti Castle agritourism. This rental is perfect for enjoying a vacation or just a weekend in Tuscany, immersed in the peace and quite of the countryside. On the ground floor you'll find an entry way, a sizable living room with fireplace making this vacation rental perfect even in the off season. On this floor there is also a kitchen and dining room and one of the 4 double bedrooms, this one with en suite bath with shower. A staircase in travertine leads to the upper floor where the other 3 double bedrooms are located along with a second bathroon.Surrounding the farmhouse is a large garden with fruit trees and a covered area for outdoor dining. The views include the hills of Tuscany and the Val d'Arbia, to the north you can see Siena and the Chianti wine region and to the south the park of the Grotti Castle. At just 500 meters is the village of Ville di Corsano which has a post office and a supermarket as well as a good restaurant. Day trips in the region include some of the most beautiful towns in Tuscany, such as Siena (13 km) and Florence (70 km). Other possibilities include Monteriggioni, San Galgano and Pienza. |

Casa del Fabbro: 3 bedroom Farmhouse
The Casa del Fabbro (Blacksmith's House) is a 2 story, 3 bedroom farmhouse in Tuscany located near Siena just outside the village of Orgia. The farmhouse has accommodations for 6-8 people and is comprised of:
Ground floor- kitchen; breakfast room.
Upper floor- living room w/ fireplace; 1 double bedroom with en suite bath; 2 twin bedrooms (2 beds each); sitting room with 2 twin sofa beds; Second bathroom w/ tub.
This vacation rental is located near a wooded area with pleanty of trails for hiking in Tuscany. The country house itself has a private garden and barbeque under a walnut tree for enjoying the outdoors. The house has been completely remodeled and decorated with care including exposed beams typical of country houses in Tuscany. On the ground floor you will find an equipped kitchen with a breakfast room that looks out on the garden. Stairs lead to the upper floor and a nice sized living room with fireplace and a double bedroom with en suite bath with shower. From the living room, a few more steps lead to a sitting room with 2 twin sofa beds, and 2 twin bedrooms with 2 beds each. There is a second bathroom with tub. In the village of Orgia there is a restaurant and a cafe. At Rosia, which is just 5km there is a post office, bank, pharmacy, supermarket, butcher, restaurants and a service station.
