We had assume that we would staying in the castle, but they did mentioned they were 'apartments'. The apartment that we stayed in was a lot larger then expexted, rustic, but exstremely clean, with all amenities. Great view of the surroundings!!!

The only issue were, no phone or internet in the accomodations....

We arrived late and did not have any food for dinner and we had decided to pick our car up the next day so Alberto drove us to the supermarket so we could get some food for dinner and breakfast the next morning. He is just the most wonderful host.

They were absolutely fantastic! We would not hesitate to recommend the Castello del Trebbio, nor would we ever hestitate to go back again! We absolutely loved it.

We felt very sad to leave and Alberto gave me a big hug and asked me to email any photos to him and not to hesitate to come back again.

You should add that the tour of the winery and castle and an absolute must and that the dinner in the castle is absolutel superb!

We stayed in villa Faltignano which was better than expected with fabulous views over the Tuscan hills.

We had a very pleasant stay at the castel. Alberto (who organized the tourist activities) was very helpful and very kind.
We had a cooking course at the appartment and it was very good.
The wine tasting and the castle tour was well organized and very interesting.
Overall we had a great stay at Castello il Trebbio.

The whether was very hot and although I understand that AC might not fit into the historical setting a ventilator might bring some relief.

The history of the castel is remarkable (previous Pazzi ownership and the conspericy room). It might be interesting to state this on the web site.

Castello del Trebbio was like taking a step back in time. It was everything I expected it to be and more. The grounds are beautiful and the people are extremely welcoming and friendly. I had an amazing time, and have been cooking with their olive oil and drinking their wine all week...it keeps the memories fresh.

In conjunction with the Castello, we arranged a taxi pickup from the railway station in Florence. The arrangement was very satisfactory with the driver waiting for us (with placard) and the price as quoted. Our host at the Castello (Alberto) was most helpful, polite and welcoming.

Our stay was marvellous. We were offered complimentary wine on our arrival, the restaurant opened just for us on one day, the restaurant staff gave us a complimentary box of biscotti for our onward journey, and Alberto included us in a winery tour and winetasting free of charge. The Castello far exceeded our expectations.

The property was almost exactly as on the web site.
We only miss the possibility to make breakfast. There was not an restaurent, and we thought that we could use the kitchen in the Villa Faltignano, where we stayed, to make breakfast. But the kitchen was just for the room in 1.th floor and we was in the 2nd.
This was the only thing we was disappointed with. Everything else was great!! The wine was wonderful!
We would very much go back to Castello del Trebbio, in some appartment with kitchen.

We felt so welcome at Castello del Trebbio from the moment we walked in the door. We had a bad experience on the first part of our trip, so meeting Alberto was such a warm and positive experience.

It was a nice surprise that Castello del Trebbio has a restaurant. The food was incredible and the staff, especailly Giovanni, were so friendly and knowledgeable about the food and wine. The property where we stayed was gorgeous, and our apartment was lovely as well. Everyone was so polite and accomodating.

Please include the restaurant as a positive. The rustic decor, the wonderful staff, and the fabulous menu offerings were one highlight of our stay.

I would describe Castello del Trebbio as a special combination of a spectacular, historical castle, a traditional Tuscan setting, excellent accomodations for the price, perfect location to see Tuscany and Florence, a wonderful restaurant that blended classic Tuscan dishes with innovative preparation, and (most importantly) a staff that treated us like family. We loved it there and will definitely return!

We arrived later than expected but Alberto was close by and warmly welcomed us - he made us feel like this was our home away from home.

The accomodations were better than anticipated - the apartment was large and all the amenities were present. We came and went as we wanted and the outside sensor lights allowed us to travel between car and house in comfort. The surroundings were peaceful and overlooked vineyards and olive groves. Nothing could have been better.

We were very satisfied. there were no negative surprises and we were overall well pleased with this accomodation, would stay there again and would certainly recommend it to others.

It is close to Santa Brigida - a lovely Tuscan village with interesting shops and wonderful food.

A welcome tone was set with warm greetings (in fluent English) and a bottle of their own wine waiting for us our arrival to our apartment. Staff and the owners of the castle were professional and thoughtful in addressing our few needs. We were also included in a tour of the castle and had a private wine tasting arranged for our convenience. Alberto was exemplary in his attention to us and offered us informative descriptions of farm produce such as saffron harvest and preparation, and provided us with train and route information that was invaluable to our trip. This was a very comfortable place to rest our weary heads at the end of each marathon touring day.

This was our second stay at Castello del Trebbio and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The staff is wonderful; the apartment was clean and well equipped; the site is gorgeous. And with a car, so many of Tuscany's riches are within easy reach. We will definitely find ourselves back at the Castello for years to come.

The site is secluded and very private, a beautiful place to relax. Florence is easily accessed by 20 minute train ride from the town 5 minutes' drive from the Castello. A car is a necessity.

It would be nice to state more clearly which facilities are available on a time-limited basis. eg the swimming pool was closed and which need to be booked in advance eg the cooking course. When I looked, the manager had told us that the cooking course needed to be booked in advance in one of his emails but it was buried among a lot of other information about payment details and directions to the property and so easily overlooked.

Everything we had wished for on a Tuscan holiday. This was our first real holiday to Italy (apart from day trips or work trips) and it came up to all expectations but I have a feeling that we were lucky with the weather and that it was warmer than they would normally expect at that time of year.

I would recommend it.
We stayed in a nice old stone house located on a hill slope with very nice view. There was plenty of room for 5 people. Small but sufficient swimming pool shared with other people staying in the other two appartments or two other houses. The castello had a nice and interesting history - do not miss the guided tour!

We had trouble finding the castle only because we arrived late & it was dark. We are from the USA and not use to driving in Italy, so we did not know our way around. Alberto (from the castle)was just wonderful,he stayed way past the time he should have left, but he wanted to make sure we made it(to the castle) okay.

I want to express how wonderful our experence was staying at Castello del Trebbio. Everyone was so wonderful there. Alberto went out of his way to make us feel welcome. The country side is so beatiful there. It was our favorite place we stayed in Italy.
