Castello delle Serre offers a unique black bottom swimming pool overlooking the Tuscan hills, equipped with comfortable designer lawn chairs and pool towel service. Next to the pool is the alfresco- loggia featuring bar and stone tables with wrought iron chairs. Perched next to the pool area is an intimate gazebo bordered by white marble coulombs wrapped in wisteria vine, with outdoor sofa and chairs. The property includes a centuries old park that wraps around half of the villages historic center. Facing the ancient defense walls of the town is our café lounge and tennis court. When we have enough guests interested in dinner service prepared by us, we do offer a fixed course menu, here on property. Please enquire if you are interested. The castle is at the center of a small village, thus with in walking distance there are restaurants, local bars, grocery store, dry cleaners, hair dressers, pharmacist, etc. We also give recommendations for winery visits. While you are having breakfast we will help plan out your drive into the wine country, with detailed directions and the most hospitable wineries to visit. |

Castello delle Serre is the ideal location for wine lovers, strategically positioned between the areas of Chianti Classico and Brunello di Montalcino, there are many wineries to visit. In every direction one turns there are countless unspoiled hill top towns, rich with cultural treasures from the Medieval Ages to the Late Renaissance. Siena, San Gimignano, Florence, Chianti, Montalcino, Montepulciano, Pienza, Cortona, Perugia and Assisi are all easily accessible by car. Whether it is churches, monasteries, classical architecture, museums, pottery, Italian gold production or the simple aspects of everyday Italian life that draw you, all of this in the near vicinity. The natural sulfuric waters of Rapolano Terme are only four kilometers form the castle. In the town of Rapolano Terme are two spa centers where Europeans have been coming for centuries to relax in the warm healing waters that spew through the town's limestone foundations. |
