 The micro-pool area opens onto a solarium that is set within the condominium park. Customized travel services are provided by proprietary travel agency which will take care of any specific needs and requirements throughout the stay at the castle. The coast of Alta Maremma with its clear water and sandy beaches framed by century old pine groves is only 10 minutes away by car.
In the same area, the marina of San Vincenzo offers the opportunity to sail and rent motor boats. Elba island, the closest of the Tuscan archipelago, can be easily reached for daily excursions. Cruises to other islands of the Tuscan archipelago are available as well as daily fishing excursions.
South of San Vincenzo, along the gulf of Baratti is one of the most significant archaeological sites with the Etruscan necropolis of Populonia. Professional guides will lead you to discover the culture of the first known inhabitants of Tuscany.
For discerning visitors, a visit at the famous Tuscan wineries in Bolgheri and Castagneto Carducci where the world renowned supertuscans are produced, is definitely a must. Special wine tasting events and tours can be booked at the premier cantines.
Some suggested excursions are visits to the medieval hamlets in the area. Suvereto, Massa Marittima, Scarlino are precious villages which maintain their original charm and atmosphere with their boutique shops and century old life. Proceeding south, Puntala with its chic, upscale marina is one of the top holiday destinations in Italy. A wonderful coastline leads down to the natural park of Uccellina, characterized by chains of hills descending towards the sea with sandy beaches and cliffs surrounded by marshes, pine woods, cultivated fields and grazing lands.
To best savour your moments of relax, we suggest the natural hot springs and at the Calidarium in Venturina, only 5 km away from Campiglia Marittima. Both the Etruscans and the Romans knew of the therapeutical effect of these springs where the water comes out at a temperature of 36°C.
Golfers will enjoy the exclusive 18 hole course at Punta Ala or the closer course at Pelagone near Follonica at only 30 min. from the castle of Campiglia. Most sport facilities, including horse back riding, are all available within a short distance from the castle and can be reserved through Rossosoave. |
