we had kind neigbours, but we could hear them very well. so the appartments are not very quiet.

A very nice place to stay, with a wonderful view at the valleys. The children had their first horse drive lessons. Although the weather was not very good this year in May, we enjoyed our stay in La Casina in Castellare di Tonda very much. Also: a good place for a group holiday with family our friends. A place to revisit!

Leider wurde in dem Haus in dem unsaer Appartment war noch umgebaut während unseres Aufenthaltes, ebenso war die Rasenfläche vor unserem Haus bei Ankunft noch eine Baustelle.
Der Rasen wurde innerhalb der ersten Woche dann ausgelegt, die Bauarbeiten im Obergeschoß waren erträglich, da nicht so laut.
Die Geschäftsleitung zeigte sich erkenntlich und gab 15% Rabatt auf den Preis für das Appartment.

Sie sollten über die einzelnen Häuser in Castellare die Tonda zumindest Bildmaterial ins Internet stellen, ebenso über die sehr gute Reitanlage.

The kids club caters mainly for German children, the staff did not really speak english.
There were a lot of activities available on site, more than on your website.
The castellare di tonda DVD, sent for free was very good.

Wonderful views, very relaxing, clean and comfortable accomodation. Plenty to do and see. Car essential. Roads pleasantly quiet.

This time nobody went along to show the accommodation. It was not nearby the reception.
With a discription is was easy to find. I think it is better to send someboby with the customer to show the way.

The biggest concern we had was that for the first two nights we had very noisy neighbours - I did expect more privacy - not to be so close to other guests. These other guests had loud get togethers in the evenings which it made it vey difficult to sleep. In Tuscany you expect a 'quiet' holiday.

A very pretty setting, but I have mentioned the noise levels to most people to whom I have talked about the accommodation to.I also found the cost of laundry to be exorbitant - I actually thought we would have in-house laundry facilities.

beautiful location. plenty to during the day but not enough organised for evening entertainment. we hoped to have evenings were we could meet other guests and thought the barbeque would have been perfect for this but it was cancelled and we were very disapointed with this. however we had a lovely holiday and do intend to return one day.

The self-catering experience could be improved by the addition of an oven to compliment the hob in the apartment.
Also, there was a lot of noise emitted from the upstairs apartments which was very annoying at times. This may be due to the tiled floors.

We arrived after 20h, which is the advertised closing time, but staff were still there to receive us.

We stayed for two weeks and expected to have use of better clothes washing facilities and an iron to be provided.
The restaurant was used for a wedding reception one night and this resulted in a lot of noise until 2am. I don't believe this was right.

A beautiful area with good accommodation. We had a very relaxing holiday.
There were more individual appartments, and therefore more people, at Castellare than we expected but people were well behaved and this wasn't a problem for us.
We enjoyed some of the organised events: the walk through the countryside and the barbecue evening. These were very well organised.

Most of the staff does not speak very good English.

I really liked the property as a whole, however if I ever stayed again I would stay in a different building. The pool for our cluster of buildings (Fornace) was not very clean. We took a hike and ended up at another part of the property and everything was pristine.

Eventually offered a reasonable alternative in a good location (Redine instead of pietrafita). It is difficult to say if better or worse as we did not see Pietrafita.

Some facilities were not easily accessed, only 1 set of golf clubs for the whole site, a lot of the bikes were not in good repair and excursions German speaking only. However we enjoyed our stay in such a lovely location and the children particularly enjoyed the horse riding.
