Luigi (the owner) was wonderful. The location was perfect, and the accommodations were splendid. Several groups of us stayed together there and had a memorable stay. I would highly recommend this property to anyone, without question.

What a picturesque location!!!

Il Cassero is all one could expect for a perfect Tuscan stay. It's clean, a central location, and immerses you in the Tuscan lifestyle. The accommodations were spacious, clean, and the owner, Luigi, was the most personable host we had in our entire 6 weeks of travel.

Beautiful house, nice and friendly people. Good location - Lucignano is a very charming town in itself, and a good starting point for day trips.

This was a beautiful residence, full of character. Luigi, the owner, made sure that our stay was very enjoyable. Lucingnano is a walled village, quiet, but with enough restaurants to keep visitors happy. Very well located for exploring Tuscany.

It would be a good idea to specify the location a little more clearly i.e.' You'll find 'Il Cassero' right next to the bar 'San Giousto' or close to the gate in the city wall.

The property is a little worn. In our room the fridge was more like an ice box because the regulator button was missing. One of the four burners on the gas stove lacked a cover for the nozzels. And the kitchen utensils were generally of poor quality. But it didn't spoil our stay.

A comfortable place in a typcal smal Tuscan village with all necessary shops, restaurants and bars. A good choice for a honeymoon..

Luigi, is a fantastic host and has a beautiful residence. I would recommend Residence Il Cassero very highly. We could not have asked for a better place to stay.

We really enjoyed our stay in Lucignano. Our hosts, Luigi and Antonella, we wonderful. The accommodations were as expected and very comfortable. We will return!

I believe we were the first to stay in that unit so it took a while to get the washing machine working (had to use our own adaptor plug), and had to ask to have the gas turned on to the stove, but that was only a minor blip. Everything was brand new and our requests were handled promptly.

I would emphasize the friendliness of Luigi - really one of the nicest human encounters we had during our two weeks in Italy. The swimming pool is gorgeous but you do have to drive to get there - it is not right outside the door. There are also very steep stairs in the unit and no bedrooms on the first floor - so pack light!

You feel like you are in an Italian home from centuries past, only with the modern conveniences added.

I was told there was a fire place but unfortunately we were unable to use it because there was no wood. The room was quite cold and it would have been absolutely lovely to have a fire

Beautiful old castle, huge rooms, decorated perfectly. Very romantic.
