Sightseeing itinerary:
We are in Tuscany, the land of the Etruscans, half an hour by car Cortona and Chiusi contain unique examples of their art and extaordinary civilisation (Pythagorus' Tomb, Etruscan Tomb from the 2 nd cent. B.C. , Etruscan Lamp 5 th cent. B.C. necroplolis, museum ). In approximately an hour by car, the most important art cities of central Italy such as Siena, Florence, Arezzo, Perugia, Assisi and Orvieto can be reached. They contain some of most beautiful works of art from every era.
 
35 mins. by car is Montepulciano, the ancient " Mons Politanus ", with the "church of St. Biagio", a harmonious renaissance construction by "Antonio Sangallo il Vecchio". Also of interest is "Palazzo Avignonesi". "St. Augustine' s Church", "Poliziano' s house", the Catedral: the "Cantucci Palazzo", the Palazzo of the "Capitano del Popolo", the beautiful 14 th cent. town hall.
 
At 25 mins, distance by car is Lake Trasimeno and its islands, the largest body of water in central Italy with its pleasant bathing areas.
10 mins. by car are the old towns of Foiano, Marciano, Monte San Savino, Rigomagno, Scofiano, Sinalunga, all in Splendid panoramic position where history has left its mark, and where the natural scenary and the peace and quiet blend togetherharmoniously.
 
Lucignano- the closest village: Lucignano is a small town, set like a pearl among the green of some the gentles Aretine hills at 414 m. above sea level. Its architecture is elliptical in form, a very special, rare example of medieval construction.
Near the residence: You will also find a butcher, green grocer, baker, supermarket, post office, bank ecc.
