 Set in the midst of the Chianti hills, halfway between Florence and Siena (30 kilometres away) with the mediaeval town of Panzano on one side and Greve in Chianti on the other, in the most beautiful part of the Tuscan countryside, Casa Sommassa can offer you all that you need for a holiday in complete tranquility, surrounded as it is by woods, vineyards and olive groves. |
 The house is a typical example of the traditional old Tuscan farmhouse and still bears the characteristic hallmarks: stone walls, terracotta floors, ceilings with arches and exposed wooden beams. The farmhouse is split into two sections, one of which occupied by local residents. |
 The guest apartment accommodates 8 persons +2. It has a completely private entrance and is spread over two floors (for a total of 240 sqm). The rooms are large and fully furnished with great charm in typical Tuscan style.
Outside there is ample private space where you can relax, read a book in the shade of olive trees or enjoy a walk along the paths through the woods or across the vineyards. Guests also have exclusive use of our wonderfully secluded private swimming pool (5 x 14m.), set in a spectacular position only 30 yds from the house with a lovely view across the valley, from where you can enjoy the magnificent sunsets. |
