 Riding Centre: The Val d'Orcia Equestrian Centre is situated in the artistic, natural and cultural park of Val d'Orcia a place of rare and harmonious natural and artistic beauty, which includes the thermal villages Vignoni and San Filippo. The breeding and training of Horses for competition in dressage and show jumping is the main activity of the Centre which also offers a jumping ring and indoor school (20mx40m), stables and spacious paddocks.
On Holiday with your Pony: For children aged between 7 and 13 years old, the study programme consists of 6 hours riding and 2 hours ethology during which the novice child will be able to :
* familiarise with ponies, feeding, handling and cleaning them.
* observe and recognise the most important manifestations within the social and playing interactions, using the sensory organs and non verbal communication.
* 6 hours riding with an expert instructor qualified with the Italian Sport Federation. During the 6 hours lesson the children will acquire the notion of practical riding with the use of pony games. For the more experienced children a programme will be designed including dressage, show jumping and pony games.
Depending upon the agreement it will be possible to organise hacks with a picnic stopover in the Val d'Orcia countryside. |
