We were welcomed into our lovely new home, shown features which included breathtaking views from two terraces, and given recommendations for dinner (which were excellent.) ... We loved the view which included Pienza and another lovely hill town. ... Check-out was very efficient and personal with brochures and maps and recommendations for the next steps of our journey. ... See below. ... A lovely 500 year old farmhouse with breathtaking views of silver and green Tuscany hills. Located between two lovely hill towns, it is a wonderful place from which to explore Montepulciano, Monalcino, Sienna, and almost forgotten Pienza (with wonderful local Pecorina cheeses and wines.) Gabriella is a lovely host and extremely knowledgeable and helpful in recommending restaurants and places to visit that may be overlooked without local knowledge.

We had a wonderful stay- wish it had been longer. Gabriela and her famly are warm and welcoming, and she has done a wonderful job with her new spa facility. The rooms were very comfortable and beautifully restored and decorated. The apartment we occupied was well equipped and comfortable.

Gabriella and her family were wonderful, and the place was great! So nicely done, and neat and clean. I would recommend it to anyone! ... There was no phone to use except in the family's home, which Gabriella was very willing to let us use it with a credit card. This was a little inconvenient though, as we couldn't use it in the evening to call the States, and with the nine hour time difference, we had to use a pay phone in Pienza, which was about a ten minute drive into town. ... I can't remember if it says it on the website, but the bathroom with the large bedroom has a tub with a handheld shower. It was okay, but we like enclosed showers better.
I do realize that this is often the case in Europe though. ... Beautiful views, very peaceful. It's a working farm with animals and farm work being done. The family is very friendly and helpful.
The farm is set on it's own hill, and it also looks up at the town of Pienza. Being so close to Pienza made it ideal to go in each day for cappucinos!
It is located close to many of the hill towns, and we did day trips most days, but they were easy to get to, and the drives were beautiful.

The map was not very detailed. Written directions would have been very helpful. ... Casa Picchiata was a very nice and clean agriturismo. I would recommend it to others. ... Very clean and comfortable with beautiful surroundings.

Good advice re restaurants in the vicinity. Many cats come into one's apartment. ... Fierce dogs prevented my going to the farmhouse to check out. ... Tastefully renovated old farmhouse in wheat lands, close to Pienza, San Quirico and Montalcino. Usual barnyard fauna.

We were provided a different appartment. I feel that that had to do with our changes of the duration of our stay ... We did not expect that guests that lived on the first floor had to pass our front door very closely. That aspect made the appartment less private ... Very beautiful surroundings;very kind and hospotable landlord. medium level appartment
