We were made to feel very welcome. Assunta offered us a cool drink and then showed us to our room. It was very well appointed. It was obvious that she and her husband had worked very hard to create a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere for their guests. ... Our host, Assunta, was very well organised. She inquired as to our plans in Florence and then offered us some suggestions. She also booked our appointments at the Uffizi and the National Academy. On one of the evenings, she and a member of her staff prepared a wonderful meal for six adults and two children. There was wine and four courses and everything was delicious. On the other two nights, she had been able to recommend other eating establishments. ... When we checked out on the Thursday morning, she was surprised that we intended to visit Cinque Terra and promptly gave us directions to the location. She had already given us the appropriate directions to avoid the city of Florence. With that she hugged and kissed us and sent us on our way. ... We cannot think of any details. It exceeded our expectations. The friend who had recommended it had not been mistaken. ... We would not hesitate to tell our friends, and we already have, that it was one of the most enjoyable places in which we stayed in our month long trip to Europe. We would certainly not hesitate to return.

I felt welcome and at home right from the start. ... If you want to meet regular Italians in their home enviroment Casa Palmira is for you. They went way beyond what I expected, even lined up a Vineyard visit I would not have been able to make with our schedule. ... It will be your loss if yoou don't visit them. You will come away with new friends.

Assunta and Stefano were very welcoming. We were greeted warmly and invited to see the accomodations for our group of 7. Once we settled on our rooms, we were invited for an aperitivo downstairs. Assunta and Stefano were so friendly and helpful..... just wonderful hosts. During our stay they were able to provide a wealth of information on the Tuscany/Florence area. ... Casa Palmira was an wonderful oasis away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Florence. The property and garden area was so inviting. Our rooms were homey, tastefully decorated and very clean. We always felt welcome to use the main floor kitchen/dining/living room area at any time. Assunta and Stefano even prepared a special dinner for us, upon our request. We all loved our stay at Casa Palmira. ... The charges for our group were itemized and explained fully. They were exactly as quoted on the voucher. Excellent value for the money. We would not hesitate to return to Casa Palmira if the opportunity arose. ... Not that I can think of at this moment. ... A delightful, rustic, cozy get-a-away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Florence. A real countryside retreat with such warm and accomodating hosts !

Our check in was handled very well ... We had a wonderful holiday. Casa Palmyra is an absolutely delightful place to stay in a beautiful area of Tuscany. Assunta and Stefano could not have been more helpful. ... The only reason we paid a bit more than expected was because I transferred the deposit straight into Casa Palmyra bank account and the bank deducted charges at both ends. ... Beautiful, peaceful, lovely rooms, friendly and helpful hosts

We were met at the airport by Steffano and when we arrived at Casa Palmira at about 9.30 in the morning, we were offered breakfast although it was not included that morning, which was very nice. ... x ... x ... I think one should know that the bus to Florence, outside the house, just goes very few times a day. Since we didn't have a car, it was inconvenient not to be able to go by that bus. Instead we had to be driven or fetched at Fiesole and that was an extra expense, which we did not expect. ... A very nice and beautiful place and Assunta and Steffano were very nice.
