We thought that Il Casale di Villore was excellent, right from the beginning. Antonio, who met us when we arrived, was very nice and welcoming. The view from the courtyard is amazing.

We loved the accommodation they had given us. The kitchen was a good size, with a small living room area for us to rest from a long day and watch some T.V.. The bedroom was spacious, with a comfortable bed. The bathroom was a good size, with a good supply of hot water at the shower. It was genuinely great to call Casale di Villore home for a week.

Antonio was well organized and made checking very easy. My only problem was that we did not wish to leave.... Alas.

We arrive at the end of winter and start of spring, which meant that not all facilities were available; such as the pool or the BBQ.

We arrived early, but Antonio was very helpful at giving us directions to the nearest grocery store so that we could go ahead and get our food, etc. When we returned, he was there to get us settled into our accomodations.

We couldn't have been more pleased with everything. The loggia had been converted into a lovely bedroom, so there was even more space than we anticipated from the website. Also, the pool was more beautiful than in the photo, which didn't show its 'infinity' design.

When we had difficulty placing a call to the airlines to confirm our return flights, Antonio took care of it all for us while we were checking out of the Accommodation.

The aforementioned pool design and the extra bedroom in the Granaio are both positive features that should be updated on the website.

Fabulous location and truly beautiful accommodations, coupled with an exceptionally nice owner/manager. The attention to detail was noteworthy and there was a serenity to the entire facility that exceeded any expectations.

The living/dining room could benefit from a bit more lighting - perhaps a floor lamp or two at the end of the couchs.

An excellent place to stay for a week or more. Antonio and his family go out of their way to make your visit relaxed and enjoyable. We were at Casale di Villore for two weeks and never wanted for things to do.

I would recommend it highly because of the beautiful scenery, peace and quiet and strategic position between Florence and Siena. I will probably be back, maybe with friends, in the future.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Casale di Villore. The pool was so fresh and clean, the grounds were beautiful, and the buildings were lovely. The staff (a family) made a 'Pizza Under the Stars' dinner for all the guests on our last night, baked in an 18th century brick oven-the best pizza I've ever eaten!

The couple in the apartment above us were quite noisy in the mornings. The movement of furniture could be heard distinctly and as this was directly above our bedroom was quite an intrusion.

Although heating was an extra, we both thought that ten Euros per day was quite expensive particlarly as the heating was sporadic and beyond our means of control. I am glad that we had a fire otherwise we would have been cold. We weren't charged for firewood which was an unexpected bonus, thankfully.

It is a magical place, wonderful views (although I challenge the owner's father who said you could see Pisa) and well sited if you want to tour the Chianti region and be close to Florence. I would love to relax there in the summer by the pool and take advantage of the massage options that we didn't on this occasion.

Everything went as smoothly as one could imagine. The proprietor is exceptionally polite, professional and kind, and the setting is immediately calming.

Without knowing it, I selected what I consider to be the best location for a few week stay in Tuscany. Villore is right in the center of the Chianti region, and far enough off of the beaten path to be blissfully peaceful and quiet. The closest facilites are the charming village of Castellina; about 7 km. away. We drove all over Tuscany in every direction and were always glad to return to our locale. The farm houses on the estate with its olive grove, vinyard, flowers all around and rolling hills below create a beautiful setting, and the pool is a dream. Further, Antonio and his family are as gracious and helpful as can be. I felt instantly at ease, knowing we were going to be well taken care of. They were always available for assistance, yet were never in our way. They have worked hard to make Villore a heavenly retreat and they have succeeded in every way.

The website does not portray how perfectly located this estate is, namely its geographical location in the center of Chianti, its position on the top of a hill with wonderful views to the southwest of rolling picturesque hills and the skyline of San Gimignano, and its solitude.

Not only was our apartment very comfortable, but the other apartments at the property were also beautiful; the property has been updated in a very tasteful manner, maintaining and improving on the beauty of the original buildings. The grounds, including an olive grove, were also beautiful and beautifully maintained.

Only 'negative' point (although clearly mentioned beforehand) is that there was no private, easily accessed place for eating outside. For the rest very helpful and friendly family.

Due to travel difficulties, we arrived several hours later than we intended, and our kind host picked us up at the train station. We were delighted!

The property is spectacular - incredible views, wonderful antique furniture and a quiet, pleasant ambience. However, the description on WorldBy.Com said the site included a gym (it didn't) and bicycles onsite (it didn't - they're available in the local village 7km away). We were also perplexed that regular housekeeping wasn't included - though the site listed linen and towel change as extra (if you want more than once per week), we were surprised to find that garbage disposal and basic cleaning were not included. In a two-week stay, these things are important! All in all, though, we were very impressed with the place and had a wonderful stay.

The location is spectacular, and excellently positioned for day trips to the surrounding area. Many places describe themselves online as 'a beautiful location' - this place really means it!
We recommend paying extra for daily housekeeping, and reminding the host about weekly linen/towel change, as they won't happen otherwise.

Beautiful - We recommend a weeklong stay that includes day trips to San Gimignano, Siena, and local vineyards and olive groves. Be sure to schedule some 'down' time by the pool as well!

You need to say to follow the signs to Castellini in Chianti when you get off at Poggisbonsi.

The directions on the net assumed we were driving from the airport, and not from the centre of Florence. Thus, we got lost and drove a significant way out of the way.

I was disappointed because the pizza oven was not available. It would also have been helpful if the unit had a larger kitchen sink (which made doing dishes very challenging) or a small dishwasher. The heating was off for half of our stay, which also made drying our washed clothes difficult because there was no dryer and very limited clothesline space. The unit could have also used a cutting board and access to an iron for clothing.

We had problems getting to the place but this was due to poor signposting which we found to be a problem across Italy in general.

Everything was absolutely perfect apart from one thing and that was noise from building work that was going on nearby. It started at 8pm and went on until 5pm every day and upset the tranquility of the place.

Absolutely idylic, just ring ahead to make sure the nearby building work has finished.
