 Click to view the map | Certaldo Alto: in the heart of Tuscany, is a base from which to discover Tuscany. In the gentle landscape of Elsa Valley, marked by vineyards, olive trees and cypress rows, is one of the most inspiring sites in the country: a rare example of a still untouched medieval boroug tipically rising on a rocky uplift. The naturalistic estate of municipal land owns zones of geological, vegetable and faunistic interest. There is the possibility to take four routes for trekking, mountain bike and horse. Travelling a short distance by car, train or bus, it is possible to reach the main historical and cultural towns, such as Florence, Siena, Pisa, Volterra and San Gimignano, as well as the charming landscapes and villages of Chianti. You can reach Certaldo Alto by car or funicular service, that runs from `Piazza centrale` to `Borgo antico`. From there you can take city bus to reach the apartment. |

By Car: From Florence: speedway "Siena - Firenze", exit at "Poggibonsi nord" and take the statal road SS429 direction, "Empoli" up to "Certaldo". From Pisa: speedway "Firenze-Pisa-Livorno", exit at "Empoli Ovest" and take the statal road SS429 direction "Siena", up to "Certaldo".
By Train: Certaldo has a railway station along the "Firenze - Siena" line.
By Bus: There is a line that connects Firenze and Certaldo.
