 The estate of Tenuta Cantagallo lies in Tuscany in the heart of Montalbano, green hilly area just a few kilometres from Florence and it extends for 500 acres. Tenuta Cantagallo is still family run farm; in fact all ten members of the family work and live here and are happy to help on special guests experience the country life in its recently restored old farmhouse, which have been converted into apartments for farm holidays with swimming pool and tennis court. |
 The old two storeys farmhouse, located between grapevines and oilve yards, lies in a panoramic location on the top of a hill, hence the name Tenuta Cantagallo, the place where the rooster sees the dawn and sings to the new day. From the yard in front of the farmhouse you can enjoy the breath-taking view of the old castles and towns of Capraia and Montelupo Fiorentino, renowned for the artistic ceramic production since the Middle Ages. |
 The surrounding landscape is characterized by the opposing of the mild sloping down of the cultivated hills and the wild bushes of the Montalbano woods, Tuscan protected area, which extends for miles (without any further building) beyond the farmhouse. The farmhouse secluded location is ideal for those who like relax, country tastes and the living with the colors and smells of nature, while the proximity with historical towns. |
the estate produces, joining tradition and innovation, high level quality DOCG and IGT vintage wines, vinsanto DOC, snap, extravirgin olive oil, flavoured oils and a wide choice of typical handmade food products (sauces, jam, pickles) cooked following old Tuscan recipes and without added preservatives or food colourings. |
The farm also has its own shop selling farm products and offers the possibility to take guided tours of the cellars and the vineyards with explanation of cultivation methods and food, extravirgin olive oil and wine tasting.
